R4 highlights:
- New Speedrun Category for Sonic: 100% (must unlock all achievements in a single playthrough)
- Just In Time achievement unlockable via the built in Autosplitter
- Restored Tails' Sonic 3 tails positions to his Running sprites and Super Peel Out sprites so now they actually rotate in a full 360 degrees
- Restored Tails' Sonic 3 look of determination to his Swimming sprites
- Restored CD93 Special Stage Timer functionality that stops the Timer the same frame as the last UFO is destroyed, instead of when Sonic lands

Sonic CD Restored 5.0 R5 Released
Sonic CD Restored is a unique remaster of Sonic CD made for speedrunners by one of the first Sonic CD speedrunners; it restores all the glitchless speedrun routes from CD93 to CD11 while retaining CD11's routes as well. It restores all the missing stage sprites, palette cycles, fixes all known bugs
