Real-Time to IGT for ILs

Hello folks! @Wuzi has requested we change individual levels from real-time to in-game time. I believe this would be a good change -- if anyone has anything to say about it, let me know!

I disagree with that change. In the first place, as ILs in super cat bros are really short, getting tied in the first place will be really easy in most of the levels, and a ms precision would be much better. In second place, there are some levels in which the faster way to end them (at least in real time) is to get hit by an enemy. The IGT add a penalty of 5s for each enemy that hit you, which make any strategy with getting hit included inviable. I think that being fast in real time should be the priority, so at the end of the day I don't believe timing with IGT is a good idea. I'd like to hear your ideas too @Wuzi

since we wan't the timer to remain real time (which i agree with) i would like to suggest starting the timer from the moment the cat moves from the starting point That way it will be more like the in-game timer only without the disadvantages of the hit penalty and the lack of millisecs

As there seem to be an agreement by most of the community, the format will be changed to what @Cytruss proposed: Real time and time starting when the cat starts to move

@D.E.M.O. if you have time, please be sure to change the rules to reflect this decision ^ ^ I'm a bit busy this week

Yea, old src bug that doesn't allow to ping users with dots in the name. Reported it several times and not fixed yet

Hey yall, I was going through these ILs and noticed that timing is strange for a lot of these. Even some videos I timed were not timed correctly. Many of the world 1 levels don't even have timers, so I'm not sure how those were timed (I forgot what we did with that).

Is someone willing to clean up the ILs and retime if necessary? The current rules state that time starts when the cat meows and ends when the end level animation starts playing (The cat changes its facial expression). Honestly, I'd even consider switching to IGT to clean up the leaderboard.

I also just remembered that some levels can end without seeing the cat. For instance, Amy in world 5 can climb up to a bonus level and win without us seeing her.

I really think we should just switch to IGT. If the player hits an enemy, we can decrement 5 seconds from their final time. Anyone like the sound of that?

I was allways for IGT. Every can has different animation at the end and you can't see them in some levels as you said. IGT it is if it was on me.

I support IGT... it makes it way easier to record runs and you don't have to constantly retime things to see if you did it 5 milliseconds faster or whatever. You can just easily see your time at the end of every run.
