General Techniques

Sanicball has many techniques that are utilized to save time, some of which were not intended to be mechanics.

Gravity manipulation:  By looking directly upwards, or downwards, the left and right directional buttons will accelerate your character vertically instead of horizontally.  This effectively makes you fall faster or slower.

Jump stacking:  This game allows you to jump slightly after leaving contact with a surface.  If you jump twice very quickly, you can get two jump inputs, stacking the increase in momentum, allowing much higher jumps.

Side spin:   When performing gravity manipulation, your ball will also spin on an axis that is not parallel with the ground.  This is useful for gathering speed on inclined slopes and walls.

Checkpoint warp (CPW):  The game processes checkpoints first client-side, and then relays the information to the server.  This means there is a period when a checkpoint is collected, but the server hasn't realized it yet.  During this time, a respawn input will spawn you at the previous checkpoint, but the next checkpoint will still be obtained.  This changes the routing in some levels.
This only works online, this will not work in local play.

General speed:  Ground acceleration is faster than aerial acceleration, so it is beneficial to stay on the ground until about max speed.  At this point, jumping will allow you to surpass your grounded max speed.

Characters:  For normal character runs (no Super Sanic), Chermy Bee is the fastest character (as of version 0.7 and before version 0.8.2).
