Are you allowed to Pause Cancel in a non-glitch run? It doesn't count as a "major" glitch, does it?
You are allowed, I think it is because it would be to easy to accidentally do
I thought I had heard that somewhere too, thanks for the quick response. I was asking bc I saw a video of a runner and he pause canceled during the Tyrant fight and started getting upset that "it compromised the run" lol. So I just wanted to clarify.
Yep, you're allowed. We actually do it intentionally throughout the run. It's not considered a major glitch.
Pause cancelling used to be considered a glitch so you were probably watching an old run or watching someone who isn't up to date with the rules. It is allowed in glitchless now.
Good to know, my copy of Director's Cut should arrive tomorrow. Looking forward to having a game to take my mind off RE2. It's been driving me insane trying to get sub 1:18:00
Knife Pause Cancel Revocery Glitch is authorise in Glitchless .... logic ^^'
Yeah you can press start "by mistake" when you try to kill Yawn2 or Plant42 ... yeah yeah ....
It was discussed and has been considered a minor glitch...because it's so easy to do. You'll notice there is not a 'glitchless' category, but minor and major glitches categories. Quit moaning.
How is it impossible to press Menu by mistake whilst fighting Yawn or Plant 42?
There's two things called reloading and healing, which will inevitably cause Pause Cancel to happen without your control.
The community already voted and decided on this quite long ago by majority vote. Almost everyone involved voted for allowing Pause Cancel in "Glitchless" in fact, because of that very situation mentioned above. Also like Becksi said, the vote also included to rename "Glitchless" to Minor Glitches.
Glitchless honestly makes no sense anymore really, because there is too much disparity between what can be and cannot be considered a glitch. People were already saying for a while long before that thread even happened that Pause Cancel was never a glitch. That thread simply put it to rest and removed 'Glitchless', as that idea for a category alone involved too many subjective viewpoints.
It has come to our attention that the current version of Duckstation (v0.1-7675) runs considerably slower than earlier versions. Until we figure out what can be done to either get the current version up to speed with the other times on the board we suggest that runners use v0.1-7294, which can be fo
