Hello!
As you may have noticed, over the past few days something was different about this leaderboard.
That's because the Poppy Playtime Speedrunning mod team has been hard at work on remodeling the entire leaderboard for the official release of Chapter 2 on Xbox and Playstation which is set to come out tomorrow, September 20th.
Here is the full list of changes:
- Added the new Console category
- Made game version be it's own subcategory, so 1.3+ runners can now compete against each other for the World Record.
- Moved over all the mobile chapter 2 runs from their mobile leaderboard onto the new Mobile category and removed the Android/iOS subcategory.
Any new mobile runs have to be submitted here, as we have requested for the deletion of the Poppy Playtime: Chapter 2 Mobile leaderboards.
That's all!
We hope you enjoy this new and improved Chapter 2 Leaderboard!
By the way, if you want to stay up to date on latest news, check out our Official Speedrunning Discord Server!
After working on the leaderboard for this past week we are proud to announce that the leaderboards for chapter 3 speedruns are finally here!
I wanna thank everyone for helping out during this turbulent week and being patient while we worked on setting up the leaderboards.
We are opening up verifier applications again! This time around, the applications will be open indefinitely. Everyone is welcome to apply. You will get a response from one of the moderators if we think you will be a good fit on the verification team. You can apply here: https://forms.gle/pMhahmhRMZ2NYzqt9
Thank you to everyone who applied! With six additions to the verifier team and a healthy pool of applicants, we no longer need any more applications. If you applied and have not gotten a response yet, it is either because we could not contact you or because you are still in consideration. If we are able to contact you, you should receive a response within a week.
As for the additions, we have added: @AtomicKoopa to Chapter 1, @Porkchople to Chapter 1 and 2, @vaqquixx8 to Chapter 1, @DavidBaron to Chapter 2, @CensoredAngel to Chapter 2, and @Ice28 to Chapter 2.
Due to difficulty enforcing the FPS cap and a new skip discovery, we are increasing proof standards for runs that rank highly on the leaderboards with the following rule additions:
- Top 5 runs in Any% and top 3 runs in All Minigames and 100% that use Hyperspeed Swing need to have proof of not using an autoclicker. A mouse cam is recommended, although a microphone that picks up clearly audible clicks can suffice. If a microphone is used to pick up clicks, it is recommended to either do the runs live or provide the full, raw recording file.
- Top 10 runs in Any% and top 5 runs in All Minigames and 100% must show an FPS counter. A guide on how to show the Steam FPS counter can be found here: https://www.speedrun.com/ppt_c2/guide/do7h0 Note that these rule changes will not affect runs that are currently on the leaderboards or were submitted before this news post.
We are looking for more verifiers again. As with last time, we are looking for verifiers who are established within the community and/or have experience with moderating other games on SRDC, although anyone is allowed to fill out the application. After you fill out the application, expect to be contacted within the next couple of days. We are only looking for around 5 new verifiers, so if you do not receive a response, all of the verifiers were likely already picked. We will provide an update when we close applications and all of the verifiers are added to the boards.
