Depending on the performance of your computer you might experience more or less lag when performing certain actions (opening menus, placing blueprints, undo, etc.). This is a problem because time does not progress ingame while the game is lagging (guests don't move, rides don't move, etc.). Therefore, people with weaker hardware are at a disadvantage when speedrunning the game.
I made a comparison between a recent run of mine and the current record by NitroKuite.
As you can see there is a 1.43 second difference between the runs caused by lag (there might be additional lag frames i missed).
This is a difficult problem to address and I currently don't have a solution for it.
We're reaching the speedrun limit on this game, maybe the solution is to reduce the resolution and graphics to maybe reduce lag but there will always be someone at an advantage.
