Runners,

Twitch has announced today that a retroactive 100-hour total limit on hilights has been enacted. See: https://help.twitch.tv/s/article/video-on-demand?language=en_US#storage

You will be unable to create new hilights while you are over the limit, and will not be able to exceed it in the future. Automated deletion of any excess hilights past the limit has been announced for April 19th, where the least watched hilights will be deleted first until you are below the limit.

As many of you have submitted Twitch hilights with your submission, please ensure that you download and archive any PBs and other runs somewhere else (such as YouTube). We cannot guarantee that runs with missing hilights will be preserved on the leaderboards in the future, especially if they are competitive times or otherwise need closer inspection.

This is a frustrating, nonsensical and cheap decision from Twitch. I am far from the harder hit segments of the community and still have to deal with downloading or archiving hundreds of hours of video. Putting us in this position is a nasty blow against speedrunners, but before anything else, we'll have to deal with it best we can.
