About the leaderboard...

Alright guys, I know that as a new community, you guys want to have a lot of runs submitted to spark up the interest in the Speedrun but the sole fact that you guys are verifying runs without videos, timers or showing the Ruleset menu which was a standard in the original MK8 Speedruns is not fair for the rest of us that are trying very hard to submit legitimate runs. I want to know what the other runners think about my opinion in the modding of this leaderboard

You don't need a timer captured on video screen, and if there's any suspicions we can simply retime it for a more accurate time.

As for the lack of times with a video, they are not WR runs. I believe in the future when there are more times on the leaderboard, we'll do the same thing as the original MK8 where top 5 must have video proof. However this game is only 5 days old at the moment, and not almost 3 years old. We also know that Deluxe is ultimately faster than the original MK8, so we have been comparing times to the original, knowing they will be improved in the future.

Also there are some runs which run on Grand Prix mode, which doesn't have the ruleset menu and is allowed and faster for single cup runs. As with runs without showing the menu ruleset in VS mode, I know I haven't approved them myself, and in my opinion I wanted contact said runner and ask them to redo their highlight video to show the ruleset menu to prevent giving them benefit of the doubt.

I approved a couple of runs which didn't show the rule set on the highlight mostly because in all of those cases I had access to the runner's Twitch channel to check the broadcast VoD for the part that was missing, which netted a positive result.

That said, yeah, I'd definitely prefer if runners would start the highlight on the rules select screen at the very least to avoid any doubts for when the original broadcast gets deleted. It's better to have all the information in one video than having to look around for details that may go missing eventually, like Twitch VoDs do (2 weeks, I think?). It might seem like a small little detail, but sometimes small little details like that can make the difference between a validated run and a rejected run, especially as the categories get more optimized. Just a small tip of sorts!

Personally I think we are forced to have a video because it's not motivating to know there is some people just invent a time for be better classified it is already hard enough to rank with our game version it gives more impression that the speedrun is useless, that as soon as you want to play and progress you will have players who will want at all costs to be first without playing.

13,8% of run are not verifiable because they do not have videos (156 / 1125) 52,6% of them are above or equal to the top 10 (82 / 156) or 7.3% of all 1125 runs (82 / 1125) 10,3% of them are above or equal to the top 3 (16 / 156) or 1,4% of all 1125 runs (16 / 1125) There is 68 top 3 in total (204 players in total) ===> (16 / 204) 7,8% of player without video is in top 3

Strangely the best times of some players are not available while the average record has some evidence (Iden for example)

I did not calculate this point but according to the stats there would be 182 players who have posted a record on the forum and I believe that the number of players without video would be about 20 to 30 players so 10,9% to 16.5% of player.
