On the off chance this is the first time you're hearing of this, Mineplex has been closed down officially on both Bedrock and Java, it's been inevitable for the last couple of years but still obviously very sad to see.
The boards as far as I can see have no reason to be taken down, they can serve as something of a memorial/archive. The discord is also, as of writing this, still up if for some reason you want to join it (this will be changed if that changes).
I don't think there will be any moderation changes because now there's no reason to make such changes, if you have any old recordings please feel free to submit them to the boards, they'll still be reviewed :)
Until we meet again, Dan
Moderation changes:
- @Widestsinger has resigned from the boards and discord, thanks a million for your piles of verifications and activity around server changes
- @LunarVoice has been added to the leaderboards
New rule for Cake Wars:
- All glitches involving the cakes being missing for the game/already eaten, are not allowed in submissions
New rules for CE:
- Rules about player cap applied to the new categories and overall rules (new cats mentioned below)
New categories on Category Extensions:
- Full Team Death, for Skywars and Cakewars
- Micro Battles, 10 kills, between the team or for solos
- Skywars, No Armour Victory, similar rules to No Chest Victory
- Cake Wars, 100%, All cakes and all finals on full lobby (Solos, Duos and 4v4v4v4 allowed)
- Win one of each winnable PvP games on the server (No party at the moment but that can change if there's real demand), General agreement on : - Turf Wars - Micro Battle - Bomb Lobbers - Skywars (solos) - Cakewars (solos) - Block Hunt
Other changes:
- The Death% strategy on Skywars has become impossible to perform due to the new bedrock lobby, the runs featuring this exploit will be moved to an archive on Category Extensions soon
- Mob Arena win% needs a reformatting because the current route to win is via all players deaths, which is effectively impossible to influence skillfully, this is something else that hasn't happened yet but will be coming soon hopefully.
