A quick guide to a Bomberman low-score speedrun: Since Mega Bomberman (Bomberman 94) has a high score its a fun challenge to try a kind of “low%“ speedrun. By low% we mean the lowest score! Here you will find the essentials to create a low score run!

Don't get any points! - that's the basic rule for the run. Points increase the score. You get points by defeating enemies, getting coins and destroying certain objects. so do as little of it as possible. [in "Bomberman 94" / "Mega Bomberman" you don't get points for items and power ups, so you can take them without any problems.]

NO fire power-ups - the greater the range of your explosion, the greater the risk of enemies accidentally walking into it. Defeated enemies mean a higher score. So avoid fire power ups.

Make your way clear! - Since you are not allowed to defeat enemies, the field overflows with enemies. if they're locked in between blocks, leave them alone. however, if it is inevitable, then you should destroy as many blocks as you can to have enough escape opportunities. some enemies follow you precisely.
3.1 - Explosions only with a safe distance - since you have no fire power ups, you can easily calculate your bomb range. Make sure that when you clear your way, fast opponents or opponents who are chasing you have a certain distance from you. If not take your time to flee!

Get the detonator - The detonator will help you blow up explosions at the right time. we don't want to blow up enemies or blow ourselves up, do we? They also help in boss fights, because the small explosion puts you at a disadvantage. [in "Bomberman 94" / "Mega Bomberman" you get the bomb in World 2, Level 4]

Extra points for “lamp masts“? - in Mega Bomberman (Bomberman 94) you have to destroy a certain amount of machine-like lamps to finish the level. However, be careful. if a robot is wearing one of these lamps you have to defeat the robo enemy first, BUT WAIT! if you destroy the lamp and the robot quickly in a combo you will get extra points (instead of 400 you get 1600!) we want to avoid that of course!

Stay away from the coins! - If u finish a level in Mega Bomberman (Bomberman 94) even though there are still blocks left, then they turn into coins and you have 15 seconds to collect them ... DO NOT DO THAT! because then you get points for the score. if it is a small level, then for a good speedrun time either remove the blocks beforehand or destroy the coins with your bombs!
