Hi all I'm wondering why when I check the leaderboards for Any% Unrestricted and click on the run that is first place the video title says "Former World Record" yet there is no run I can find faster than that right now.
I'm merely a humble viewer but this strikes me as odd. I want to watch the most up to date world record and you tube/google is not helping, so if someone can give me a link I would be appreciative!
The new world record was in the process of being verified by the mods of the game. It has now been verified

We want to ensure no one breaks the turbo cap, Or the run was not spliced. Verifiers could be super busy.
Please understand that verification is a volunteer effort, and there may be ebbs and flows in the verifier throughput. Regardless, the verifier team aims to have runs verified no later than three weeks after submission in order to comply with speedrun.com verification rules.
