Flash Cancels and Flash Bursts

Flash Cancels:

Flash cancels are used for extending combos. Flash cancels, implied by its name, cancel special moves getting you open to attack with a different move while the opponent is still in hitstun. Flash cancels are triggered by pressing both L2 and R2 at the same time during a special move. You start off with 2 flash cancels represented by blue blinking lights at the beginning of each match and after using them they slowly regenerate. 


Flash Bursts:

Flash bursts are used for getting yourself out of a combo. Flash bursts attack with an explosion (or burst) which lingers for about a second. The radius of this attack becomes bigger during soul succession. Flash bursts are triggered by L2 and R2 while being attacked by an opponent. You start with 1 flash burst each match, and like the flash cancel, needs a cool down period to recover. The flash burst is represent by a pink blinking light.
