Hey everyone!

We just wanted to let you know that after many years, Hypixel has recently released a brand new map: Prison!

We have added the corresponding categories for Prison in all difficulties, be aware that it is not unlikely for changes to still be made to Prison in the near future, meaning any really fast times may become impossible to achieve after any sort of update in the future.

There have also been very significant changes to the already existing maps Dead End and Bad Blood (or Alien Arcadium), most notably to the range of the player, in which mobs can spawn in a window, which has been reduced from 50 to 40 blocks. This change may allow for faster times than previously possible. However, be aware that if this change is reverted in the future, any really fast times achieved based on the change may become invalid.

We have additionally slightly changed the rules to be a bit less "restrictive" since some elements were not necessary to verify if someone was cheating, so make sure to check them out before running!

We're excited to see speedruns of the new map, if you have any suggestions regarding anything (new categories, rule adjustments, etc.), feel free to message us or me specifically!

Dear Hypixel Zombies Speedrunning Community,

we would like to inform you about some important updates regarding the rules for Hypixel Zombies speedruns on Speedrun.com. After careful consideration and community feedback, we have decided to implement changes to ensure a more fair and competitive environment for everyone. This is because the previous rules were simply not sufficient enough to be able to tell if a run was actually legitimately completed or not. The most notable changes of the new rules include:

• All runs require video evidence from all active perspectives in the form of YouTube video links, each recording has to start before or within the first 10s after the game has started. It must not end before the last round of the game has finished (Pretty self-explanatory, the recordings have to start within 10s since that is the time when the first wave will spawn. You can add multiple youtube videos in one submission by putting multiple links in the URL section separated by spaces)
• A valid right-click CPS counter has to always be visible throughout the recording. (A valid right-click CPS counter means that the CPS counter actually registers every single right-click. This rule exists because the right-click CPS play a very important role in Zombies while at the same time any sort of right-click macro or autoclicker generally goes undetected by hypixel. Generally most of the popular CPS counters are fine to use as long as they were not directly created to be a decoy)
• If any modifications were used, showing the mod list either during or after the game is highly recommended. Runs that used modifications and did not show the mod list may get rejected. (Additionally, showing the mod list while having an illegitimate modification installed does not result in a rejected run if it is clear that the modification in question was not used at all during the entire run)
• Using the team machine while being knocked down is disallowed however if done accidentally it will be reviewed on a case by case basis (An example would be using it almost immediately after you die, if you clearly did not have enough time to react the run may still be valid)
• Purposefully manipulating the AI of Zombies to not make them be able to reach you is prohibited. If however a broken AI occurs randomly out of control or without intention we will review this on a case by case basis (If for example a boss gets stuck somewhere out of control which makes you be able to do a lot more damage than usual then that'd be fine)

Keep in mind that those are only the most notable changes. We recommend for everyone to read the actual full list of rules before submitting any runs.

To allow everyone to adjust to the new rules, we are implementing a three-day grace period starting at the time of release of this thread. During this time, both the old and new runs will coexist on the leaderboard, however only runs that do follow the new rules will be verified. After this grace period concludes, runs that no longer follow the rules will be removed. As already mentioned, in order to add multiple videos to a single submission, you have to put the links to each video in the same field as you usually would with only 1 video, separated by spaces. If for whatever reason this does not work, you can also put the video links in the run description instead.
