How to set up a Low% leaderboard

There's a "Timer Ascending" option for categories, that should work.

Ohio, USA

Is that really a speedrun though? I don't have anything against it being on any game's board or anything, I'm just curious lol

Ascending Timer, and then points replace time (since it's clear here that the actual time would be irrelevant). No, it's not really a speedrun.

Just for your own future reference, I wouldn’t use Low% in this context. I don’t know the correct term for what you’re looking for, but Low% has a meaning in speedrunning - it means to complete the game with the lowest percentage of items required/used (usually).

Also, you wouldn’t want the timer ascending option since that would put the highest “score” first if you’re using score to replace time. If you want the lowest score to be first, then replace time with the score and let the board sort it like normal. Something like put your score in the milliseconds field and then the lower score (fewer ms) will be first.

It’s not a great solution because this site isn’t set up to handle high score runs or runs that use score of some instead of time.

Ascending Timer has a perfectly legitimate use for runs/stages that start from a specific time value and count down, however.

If I understand him right, he doesn't want a highscore leaderboard, but a low% board that prioritizes percentage over time like:

  1. 5% - 11:00:00
  2. 5% - 13:00:00
  3. 6% - 1:00:00
  4. 10% - 4:00:00

That's not possible unless an admin changes the code. The best you can do is add like 100 hours per percent and hope that suffices.

I would suggest speedrun.com is not the place for concepts such as this. Absolutely nothing against the concept at all, but unless the goal is to do something as quickly as you can I don't see the point of it being on this specific site [/imo]

A good solution could be to create a google doc outside of the site and use that ? Like a google spreadsheet then just put that in the game forums and people could use that forum to submit to it with proof or what ever. :D I like having stuff like that for a game because it means more fun for people but I don't think it works here. :) Maybe could you do a level leader board and then make certain percentages on that so its people just completing like 15% faster than anyone although that is cumbersome. ^-^

My approach would be to make 2 subcategories, one for current lowest percent records and one for legacy records. (records that were placed on a previously thought to be lowest percent)
