## ### GENERAL TIPS AND TRICKS ###

Watch your stamina
For Any% and True Ending: don't use maintenance on every wound or bleeding you take. Bear with it until it is really important to heal. Don't panic.
For NG+: bind your implant for stamina regeneration on hotkey and on "wheel". Use it in this simple order: hotkey, wheel.


Wiggling
Mashing left and right makes you move a little bit faster which saves a small amount of time at long runs.


Hug Walls
Moving diagonally in walls makes you move faster. For example, if wall is on your right side you should press W+D and look in the parallel to this wall. But be carefull, some walls a rough and will block your movement.


Regenerate stamina in mid-air
Release sprint key and start crouching when you are jumping/falling. Instead of losing stamina you will regenerate a small amount of it.


Regenerate health with skill points/inreasing level
Putting a skill point into something will fully restore your health, which is essential on Electric Ship and Mars.
If done properly, experience management will save your life on Electric ship.
All of it will be explained later.


Hacking
Forget about Scan and Protection. Attack, Overflow and Mask your best friends.
Strategies for hacking in Any% and True Ending:
"Glass Cannon" - keep enemy's ATT below 100 and keep YOUR ATT at ENEMY_PROT+100 level. Use 2 x Mask at the beginning of this cybernetic fight and start looking. Use Overflow until you have enough offensive power and then Attack. If he is well protected but his health is low, keep Attacking (brute force).
"Slowly but surely" - it is almost the same, but you must keep enemy's ATT at 0. Use Mask on his Overflow, use Overflow otherwise.
Strategy for NG+: Mask, 3 x Overflow, Attack until the end. If you get lucky, you will win this in 6 clicks.


Speaking
Letter "b" - you need to press Next/Close button in dialogue.
Letter "B" - your cursor location will be set in center, you need to move your mouse to press Next/Close button in dialogue.
Details are down below for each level.


Weapon duplication glitch
Moving your weapon in inventory throws an empty gun on the floor and create a new one in your pockets. It works perfect for small weapons (Medkit, BK, etc) but TRK can be duped only once - it must be placed on the right side of middle rectangle.


Restart Mission feature (singleplayer only)
AI is disabled when you press "Restart Mission" button. This report (and every final report) lasts for 15 seconds but pressing button again resets this timer. Bind you FIRE key on keyboard (e.g., R-Ctrl) and go kill enemies.


Creating and upgrading your character
Any%: use Gueburah genes. Agility (stat with speed) is very important and it should be about 60, reroll stats untill you get good numbers (62 is highest i have ever seen). Strength and Endurance is good but don't put too much effort for these.
Invest skill points in Agility. More speed = greater distances with the same stamina = less time on map.
NG+: max stats with all implants, researches and psy-powers. You can keep any equipment before start. You can create such character with Save Editor.
True Ending: same as Any%, first cycle can be considered as normal Any%. Buy cyberlegs if you get some money, buy cyberheart only after legs.

#Cave (cc_tuto)
First rock, where game tells you about normal jump, can be a problem. Hug left wall and start crouching. If done correctly, you get on top of it without losing stamina on (cyber-)jump.
You can jump on elevator's roof. Carefully move youself at the very edge, start crouching, flashlight must be barely seen (probably this one may differ for everyone). Make cyberjump, instantly and slightly press A and when D.
Take TRK.
Hug walls and pray for your legs.
In the sewers, shoot Shu through the door, he should be somewhere behind the right side. Final report should appear.

For True Ending category: go to Klaus (he will be in right building) and let him live - (2b23) in dialogue, he will give you 10k brouzoufs.
Go to the left terminal in hangar. Press USE key and go to the exit. Preferably, cyberjump on trash container and then cyberjump on ladder. Climb up, touch lift and final report should appear.

#New Eden (cc_new_eden)
Kill Culter in doorway and go into the sewers beneath bar. Kill bartender through ceiling - aim between first and second metal horizontal bars, but closer to first, it is hard to explain.
For True ending category: if you have cyberlegs 2 lvl, create a clone and boost at his head to get out.
Turn left after dropping down, turn right, turn left and climb ladder.
Here comes first run-killer - briefcase.
Problem is that it has 5 spawn locations (actually 6 but it is so rare that it happend with me only 3 times and only after few constant restarts of the level)
1) 1st floor, left apartment, in the corner in right room
2) 1st floor, left apartment, in the bathroom
3) 2nd floor, left apartment, under the table in left room
4) 2nd floor, right apartment, in the far right corner in right room
5) 2nd floor, right apartment, left room
After taking this briefcase, now you wait. Use this time for gaining brouzoufs and leveling to 4,5 experience level.

Kill boss through this giant door. Aim a bit higher of middle of brick which is at the left of bandit's head. If you get unlucky shot, make another one.
Run to the exit. Left corridor has more walls to hug but metas/bandits may hurt or block you. Way forward is less dangerous.

#Electric Sheep (cc_sheep)
Take mission from terminal

Run to the window where you can see 3 bandits and kill left one closest to you. Go back, on the bridge stand in the corner of left bench, closest to an arc, and take a precise shot to kill bartender (if you got lucky, you will save ~5 seconds). If bartender is dead, drop TRK, run to the console
- Bbb1 or Bbb2
and start crouching to regenerate stamina. Crawl to the armory, heal yourself with medkit (use "Weapon duplication glitch" to recharge medkit if needed), throw away medkit and run.
Jump down to the bandits' base, use console
- 1
and run to the first planting site. Now you must be standing at this... tube?... going down. Try to surf here: start crouching, press W+D and keep your crosshair balancing just a little above the middle line. Release W+D keys, you will get launched out if you got lucky. Run to the left in this collector (or whatever it is), hit/throw/drop turret. Ignore shooting bastards and turrets, go to their leader and kill him.
Do you remember these experience levels that we were farming on New Eden? If everything was done properly, you will increase your level in this crossfire which will save your life on the way back. Is something went wrong but you still have some saved skill points? Use one to restore your health. Is everything went wrong? You die.
Use maintenance in the collector and restore stamina while hugging wall... while crouching. Run to other planting sites and hope that flying Interceptor will not spot or kill you.

#Monolith (cc_monolith)
Grab the nearest turret and throw it in another one to prevent them from hurting you. Kill Dutch with backstab, take bomb and hack the door.
Here comes second run-killer - stationary turrets. This game has 4 types of turrets (from best to worst): laser, machinegun, RawCatLawnChair (with energetic fireballs?), big calibre BS with explosive ammo. First three types are OK, but the last one will kill you in 2-3 seconds.
Run past these two turrets, open the door. Turret in the main room is always a machinegun and will never attack you, just run to the right in cave. In cave, turn right and drop down, try to land on the edge at the end of this hole, start crouching before doing so. A little bit of Sharking on water, try to not die from third turret and place bomb.

#Noctis Labyrinthus aka Mars (cc_noctis)
This level has 2 Interceptors and 2 Deus Ex Machinas.
Take TRK and run to the stone columns on the right. Here comes the first interceptor, you must destroy it and probably kill nearest federals who will show up. Turn to the left to ruins with Deus Ex Machina and if you spot second Interceptor - duplicate TRK and destroy this flying thing. Regenerate stamina and run to the federals' base on the right. You will face Deus Ex Machina and I hope that you have some skill points because this bad boy deal a lot of damage.
There is no Machinas? You are the lucky one because sometimes Interceptors can kill one or both of them.

Use Restart Mission and go backstabbing. Kill 8 federals in giant dark room, 7 federals in other rooms and use console.

Go to the archives and kill first pillar. Second pillar is tricky: use Triangular Gates at him, while standing at edge of the pit with water, jump down and press Restart Mission just before you die. Death reports lasts 10 seconds, so you have less then 5 seconds after respawn to press Restart button again. Rest of the level is easy, just don't lose this timing. In chamber with Rimanah you can kill 2 Culters with backstabs and then use Triangular Gates on the last one (Rimanah can sometimes turn his back to some corner which makes him hard to kill). Get out of this room, take few steps from the enter and wait for report to change. Congratulations! Time!

You have got warped through entire cycle as if you chose Rimanah's side on the Mars. Kill Amarok to get Hypnotic Gate ability. Switch to multiplayer. You shouldn't care about difficulty or other options while creating server, just make sure that you picked campaign and not individual level.
In the Cave turn right to the portal.
In the Labyrinth keep running at right side, cross the bridge turn right and then left (way with long tube). Turn around the corner and go to the right gates almost at the end of this corridor. Speak with Circe

Medkit has the best accuracy, use it to telefrag enemies. Especially when you fly, crosshair never changes.

After loading, press Esc to close window and activate cybervision to see bandits in a distance. Be very fast, you must telefrag one of them before green fog will cover your eyes. Go to the left terminal in hangar. Press USE key and go to the exit. Preferably, cyberjump on tubes under the roof of this hangar and then cyberjump on tubes near top of the ladder.

If you can't kill him, use cyberwave implant to see through walls. Run to one of briefcase spawn locations as fast as possible and hope that it will appear under you. Let me remind this:

3) 2nd floor, left apartment, under the table in left room
4) 2nd floor, right apartment, in the far right corner in right room
5) 2nd floor, right apartment, left room

There is a federal on top of the cliff, telefrag him. Two different scenarios can be seen here:
1) You got stuck.
Try to telefrag one of federals in the ruins beneath you. Also, you can wait for Dutch with his comrades but this will take a while.
2) Successful telefrag.
Lucky you, jump down and try to telefrag enemies on your way forward.
Kill Deus Ex Machina with Triangular Gates. Try to telefrag syncles behind rocks.

Glitched missions and maps

All runs with glitched missions will be put in "Glitched" category.

To fix this, check your save files which can be found in
C:\Users\Your_username\Documents\streumon\eye\Save
If you find any files with a name of your previous characters, which ends with ".HL1" and ".HL2", delete them.

Every map has some sort of checkpoints where you continue your playthrough after quitting the game. For example, if you have finished almost all missions on "Electric Sheep" and quit your game, you will respawn near console at your base, from that point you need to use bandits' console and plant bombs to proceed further. You can glitch your game through all your characters and saves to think (even on "fresh new character") that you have completed this mission already. It will require manipulations with "dead" savefiles and i don't have any clue how to make it work, but it is still an interesting thing to discover.

Cave (cc_tuto) - very useful
What happens: you respawn in front of Dutch, whole cave segment is skipped.
Also, in a very rare cases, you can recieve from 10k to 30k brouzoufs when you fall down in the sewers with bandits (more often in multiplayer for some reason), but i'm not sure if this is a part of glitching. Absence of window with starting information at the very first seconds after loading on this map can be a sign of this. Very useful but implementation is unknown.

All Temples - unknown or doesn't exist

Wurster Corp (cc_tuto2) - useful
What happens: Cassius will not appear, console for deactivation will be shown, less bandits near ladder.

New Eden (cc_new_eden) - useless
What happens: Culter will not block doorway

Forgotten Center (cc_forgotten) - useful
What happens: all bandits are dead, escape is available

Electric Sheep (cc_sheep) - very useful
What happens: bandits that must be eliminated are dead

Vindico factory (cc_monolith) - useless, i can describe it as soft-softlock
What happens: you respawn in data center with Dutch trying to send information to Secreta, all doors are locked, all turrets are destroyed.
You may ask: "I don't want to reset my whole run. What should i do?". Well, wait for Dutch to finish his job and kill him when waves of metastreums will begin to respawn. Doors will be unlocked at this moment (probably).

Mars aka Noctis Labyrinthus (cc_noctis) - useless
(not sure about this one, need more information)
What happens:
1) you respawn in front of deactivated Gates of Truth
2) you respawn in front of the King
3) you respawn near armory on main base

Fed's ship (cc_shadow) - unknown or doesn't exist

Fed's mission (cc_falling) - unknown or doesn't exist

Temple in Mentor's ending (cc_severed) - very useful
What happens: you respawn near cave, every Rimanah's pillar is dead

Temple in Rimanah's ending (cc_dreams) - unknown or doesn't exist
Probably the same as in Mentor's ending

cc_minos - unknown or doesn't exist

Low Gravity bug

Map "cm_farm_alpha_23" glitch all your characters with low gravity. Main problem here is that this map is unofficial and can't be used in runs. However, it will be nice if Low Gravity can be found somewhere on official maps because it will make Any% category a bit easier.

Rimanah warp

Hypnotic gate ability requires you to go on Rimanah's path. It means that on Mars (cc_noctis) you getting access to underground temple, talk with dead boi, kill people, kill people again, kill more people on next map and after all of this you enter temple with werewolf, who gives you "Hypnotic gate" ability.

Instead, you can do next steps:
1) on Mars talk with Jaghurta, join him (23122 in dialogue), go to next map
2) talk with federals on ship and accept their mission with Cyrus, go to next map
3) kill Cyrus, go to Mentor and tell him that you hate him (just choose 1 in dialogue all time), kill Mentor. Window with mission stats will appear after his death

If everything went right, you will appear in the Temple HQ as if you completed last levels on Rimanah's side. Get Hypnotic gate from werewolf.

With this warp you can get Hypnotic and Substitution gates in 1 cycle: after step 2) complete feds mission as usual, talk with Balthazar near exit, restart mission and do step 3).
