I know segmented speedruns are horribly unpopular but I thought I'd do this one for fun. It's currently 77 seconds faster than the RTA PAL record, and 32 seconds faster than the world record on NTSC-J. There's nothing remotely official or competitive about this (I didn't even use savestates) but everything in the videos is replicable in a real-time run. Notable time-savers over RTA are in Temple Ruins, Generator Room, and Slippery Climb. Run on PS2 FDS.

A segmented run will be using the Bonus Rounds and saving there. This doesn't even classify as a Segmented run.

More or less this is a single stage run because you're doing a stage over and over getting the fastest time you can get.

Yeah, agreed. This is more of a compilation of best segments, to see what a near-optimal non-TAS any% run would look like. It's not just a single stage run though, because I'm using the any% route like getting the green gem and death abusing which wouldn't be necessary in a single stage run.
