I only got the game recently, and I plan on finishing it proper before I even consider speedrunning (as of right now I'm only up to Chapter 3), but I have a proposal for 2 new categories: -All chapters any% (as opposed to the individual chapter runs making up the categories right now) -All Endings (the goal would be to play thru the game from the beginning and get all wrong and right ends)
On a side note, I'm playing the iOS version, which is said to run better than the Vita version. Can that be added to the list of devices for this game, please?
Huh, I wasn't aware that Blood Drive got an iOS port. I'll add that. But to answer your questions,
- I'll add an all chapters category, but the individual chapters need to be kept as they are valid categories of runs.
- All Endings in one run is impossible to be achieved, as it requires restarts of the game mid-run.
As in, actual restarts, or just resetting the chapter? If the former, then I bring to mind another game people speedrun that does that: Undertale. If the latter, then I don't know what the problem is. If it's something I'm missing, though, please enlighten me.
On a side note, I'm not sure the iOS version has the "out of bounds glitch" like the Vita version, due to both the better compatibility, and the fact that it also has to load the touch screen controls, and I don't see anywhere that it says it's compatible with controllers (but at the same time I don't have a controller yet, so I can't test). I'm still testing, but perhaps seperate "glitchless" categories can be made in that case (as it would seem the iOS version would be superior to the vita version in those categories)
Edit: just tested, and yeah, the iOS version doesn't accept input until the transition from the pause menu is done (you can't even start holding it before hand, you have to start input after the fadein transition is done.) That effectively makes the glitch impossible in the iOS version, unless the game is compatible with controllers and just doesn't say it anywhere.
