Hi guys! Out there I am the only one who wants to see a category with only original characters? I absolutely love playing with Zamie's mod but I'm not a fan at all of Keeper and The Lost, for example, I don't find them funny at all, so I'm quite locked out. Is there a possibility to introduce "Original Characters" run? What do you think about it?

What is it about the Lost and Keeper do you dislike?

Keeper was buffed quite a bit in Racing+, and is why he was included in the r+9 category. He starts with duality, so you can go to angel rooms whenever a deal spawns, and given a fixed greed's gullet, with 50 coins to start with for 2 extra hp up. He honestly has really high potential, and can get pretty easy sub 10, especially because mapping is so common.

There were also changes to Isaac and Maggie as part of the mod; Isaac starts with the battery (the hold an extra charge one), and Maggie is unable to get soul hearts, instead you are guaranteed a devil deal if you don't get hit, and every 3 full soul hearts (iirc) you get a hp up.

I don't like their mechanics at all, it's not how mod changed them that I dislike, it's more a matter of having a vanilla style category for old flash players like me, if you could say so. I don't think it requires much work to Zam to implement another branch of the mod, but I'm not asking to him to do so nomatterwhat, just wanted to check if any other people have my same idea too and maybe also hear what Zam himself thinks about adding this feature on his mod. BTW on my version, 0.6.6, changes on Isaac and Maggie where reverted and actually they play as vanilla. Thanks anyway for your opinion, it was appreciated.

@thisguyisbarry As Durden said, Isaac and Maggy only have the additional changes in the R+14 custom challenge.

1. In the short term, I will implement a custom R+7 challenge if there is demand for it. Meaning specifically that there are 4-5 people interested in actively running that category.

2. In the longer term, note that the "S1" part of the challenge signifies season 1. In season 2, I was thinking of having R+7, with a mix of old characters from the R+9 category and new ones, as well as some new custom starting items to keep things fresh. Planning for that hasn't really started, but I think a good time to introduce it is July 1st.

Since it sounds like you want a strict vanilla ruleset with the original 7 characters and nothing else (booooring =p), this new season 2 challenge wouldn't completely align with your desires. However, depending on how the specific ruleset turns out, there might be some (or a lot) of overlap, so I figured I would bring it up so that you could check it out in the future.
