Every guide i can find is like years old and doesnt include any of the new skips from the wr. Like skipping the vhs tape or getting the red hand early.

@Yarnaby I did watch other people do it, and even the first skip of the tape is so nonsensical, he just pauses and suddenly its skipped. LIke idk how to do that?

@Pacwake press x hold it and then pause the game. it will still skip it ;) continue when skipping the tape is done :)

I will try to explain it the best I can; basically when you want to normally skip the tape, you hold the letter 'x' on your keyboard (as indicated on the bottom right) until the tape has been skipped. To perform this skip, you must wait until the prompt is given to skip on the bottom right. Once this happens start holding 'x' on your keyboard. Now, pause the game using the 'esc' key on your keyboard while continuing to hold x. It you stop holding x while paused, then this will not work. You must keep holding 'x' until the skip prompt on the bottom right disappears, as this indicates that the tape has finished skipping. at this point, you can unpause the game and the tape should have skipped.

Ohhhh I didnt know that they added a skip button to the tape. So the pausing is just to safe time for the skip button hold. I see. Thats my bad guys I thought it was some weird glitch that allowed them to skip it. Thank you for explaining it

Im confused about the pole thing now, its easy to get but I wanna understand how it works. Does the game recognize my arm as touching the pole even tho it isnt because it got retracted automatically?

For now it seems to be completely rng, but I found for me that 60 fps is more consistent

Also dont feel stressed about using every single skip. You can use a few and then add more to your runs as you get better

Nah getting it isnt the problem, its pretty easy actually. I got every skip other than getting the toy early which doesnt save that much anyway. But I was just curious as to HOW that skip works rather than how to get it. Maybe that curiosity comes from being a game dev myself idk
