Are any of the glitches present in the Any% runs possible on an NTSC version on PS2?
There doesn't seem to be any differences in terms of glitches between versions of the game, so you shouldn't have any problems. The only thing that I can think of that might be a problem is having movement during a cutscene to keep time flowing, as English text would take longer and possibly throw off the timing for the route. Luckily the current Any% route doesn't have any instances of this, but All Kisses does at the start of Worldly Desire Temple.
Hm. Do you know if there are any videos on kiss buffering/early suzuki, or any other glitches? I’d like to learn how to do them.
Kiss Buffering is just pressing square and triangle at the same time when in front of someone you can kiss, and then eating a damage item. Early Suzuki is pretty easy, the only annoying part is finding him once you're OoB in his room. I go over it a bit in this video at the linked timestamp:
Getting the Boss Card from Funny Bone Factory OoB is tricky too, since you need to maneuver to get out of bounds while you're off-screen, so here's a clip for that too:
Zombie Mode is a state of being able to move around and interact with things while in the process of getting a game over. It currently has no utility in a run, but it's possible to access a sort of debug shop through it where you can buy almost every item in the game. Would be crazy if a way to utilize it existed.
Couldnt that be used to buy fridges, therefore making it completely consistent? We would have enough money to buy it from selling free passes.
The only way to recover from Zombie Mode (without going back to the title screen of course) is to read a comic VERY soon after entering it, so sadly it's not possible to buy something and recover afterwards. Even if there wasn't a time limit that causes reading a comic to crash the game, pressing X to select things after a certain amount of time will make everything fade out and go back to the title screen, so the game would do that before the comic has a chance to be used.
The easiest way to get Zombie Mode is to keep mashing pause when Policeman shoots you to 0 HP and then scroll in your inventory to make poor boy stand up, but for the most promising debug shop scenario I'd suggest this:
