Hello Jailbreakers!
I've not tried to speedrun this game in a few years and I see we got some new records and fresh faces ,so......I come bearing gifts!
The 'Desert Corner Trick' in two stages!
'Round Up' and 'Lost Highway'
After chiteiro1 posted his original speedrun on the boards showcasing turning around in the "Woodlands" stage , I always wondered what other stages can you do this in ?
And I figured 'man...there HAS to be other stages where this works' so after much experimentation and research I found this trick corner in the desert of :
'Round Up' You turn around , drive backwards until you get to the intersection and you turn right...and!....it won't work. For some reason you have to ride over this very particular part of the desert in that corner -a bit at an angle- and then the position marker in the race marks you as first and you get to finish the race as normal!
'Lost Highway' Masterful Jailbreaker weirdo that I am, I also found this works on 'Lost Highway' , you make the second left , ride until you make another left , then you'll come across the Desert Corner but from THE OTHER SIDE, so this one is actually tricky, you can turn slight right (or even ride onto that road if needed ) then turn back and ride over the desert corner and Voila! same as before !
Now...I'm currently trying to mull my brain and rack my mind as to why the 'Woodlands' trick works and replicate it onto other races, as it requires no riding over corner tricks whatsoever.Whilst also trying to figure out what exactly makes the corner trick work (maybe that fence wasn't put out farther onto that corner? and the code's positional marker therefore resets? like you're out of bounds?).Finding out what makes those tricks work could help in other stages that are maybe like 'Woodlands' or 'Round Up' (Woods or Desert areas) ; but so far my experiments yielded no results in the subsequent races in that rank (Lieutenant) and it seems the Captain rank would be hard to find these exploits in , as they are just straight on long races on the straightest parts of the map. So I got more experimenting to do, hopefully we can find an urban area exploit.
so there you have it, also there might have been somewhere in all the old forums of the internet more of these tricks or even these ones and I may not have known so I may be the silly one but as far as I know....based on these speedruns....this is brand new. Obrigado!!
When I saw that IL records, I was "OMG, I KNEW IT, IT COULD BE POSSIBLE".. I found something in the "Urban Sprawl"
We can go in two different ways to the finish line, but when you reach that, you can't jump to the first position, because the flag on the part, should be the same idea of the desert part.. in the first one, we can make an advantage of 4.xx of the first position... the other one, 2.xx
"Urban Sprawl" We start the level normally. In the first intersection, turn right. In the second intersection, turn left and the last one, turn right. You should have a distance between 3.xx and 4.xx but in the last position
The other way is going in the second intersection for the right, and the last one right, but this time the distance should be around 2.xx
It should be hard to get a position to trigger the flag to jump to the first place, I think haha
I'm having a hard time understanding what you found chiteiro1 , you said "should be the same idea of the desert part.. " -do you mean riding over a particular corner of the level?
"in the first one, we can make an advantage of 4.xx of the first position... the other one, 2.xx" by 4.xx & 2.xx do you mean the miles traveled meter next to the speedometer in the top left of the screen?
so did you discover a way to finish the race in way less than the 9.xx miles but without reaching first place by taking a different route?
I also tried replicating your turn directions but that didn't do anything for me. would you like to upload a video of what you did?
Here's the spots
BTW, I FOUND A WAY TO GET IT, but I don't remember who I did it (the first one).. I'm trying to get it again
Oh yeah, you can make that skip in the opposite position. You can save more time doing that btw
Hello everyone. First of all i need to thank you Yas, and Chiteiro1 for finding these crazy glitches that help us save a lot of time. It inspired me a lot to return to play Road Rash Jailbreak again, and try to find these glitches to see how much time you can earn on each level that the glitch works.
After doing the glitches on the levels that it actually works i thought, what about coop mode? maybe it works as well as jailbreak, so with that in mind i started practicing by "Urban Sprawl" and it works the same as jailbreak. After being able to handle the glitch in Urban Sprawl i said for myself lets go on the next, so i quit the level, i usually do it a lot and for my surprise a new crazy glitch appears, you're at first place.... yeah its real i was shocked when i saw it so i went to the others to see if it works as well and it actually works.
Knowing the glitch i was thinking how early i can do it on each level?
I figured out that you can do it on every level if you do it corretly, and to do that is quite simple all you need to do is start on the opposite direction of the normal path when you reach at the end of the street you'll see the intersection after that all you need is enter on it then you can quit, and... boom the game understood that you crossed the finish line even not doing it haha.
It's the most crazy glitch i ever seen i tested it doing a speedrun and for my surprise you are able to finish it easily in less than 20m. In normal circumstances you can do the category in around 1h20m.
Hope you guys can understand what i wrote cuz i dont have so much knowledge in english.
And finally here is the video to you enjoy hehe.
