Also- rules for certain categories have been updated, so please check them just in case before submitting a run
Update 3/7/2017: Rule added for Segmented Any%, must be done on completed save file.
Update 3/20/2017: Tool assisted runs are not allowed from this point on.
It basically pertains to pausing and music being played during a run, for the NWNM Speedrun and Speedrun categories there is no music to be played other than in-game music if you have that on, this is due to the chance of someone splicing their run since RTA is used for those two categories, in regards to pausing, the time it takes during being paused is added onto the run, this applies to all the in-game time categories, the reason for having a penalty for pausing is because I don't want it to get out of hand or anything like that, it's not in the spirit of running the game
Actually dcmallo how much time does it require for you to pause and switch controls?
If it's going to incur a penalty then i'm not going to do it, but probably about 5s each time. I got my script working so that when i hold shift my right click button makes me jump instead of charging blast.
Ahh I'm sorry. And they only require sound on both Speedrun categories, the rest sound isn't necessary
I'm wondering, would you guys like to have a segmented category where you put together your best times into one run?
Sure, I would probably submit, it would also give people a way to get better by viewing some people\s runs.
This may be a big step, Tron, but since there are so many different categories, maybe for all full run categories (NG, NG+, Speedrun, NG 100% (I just 100% into NG)) you could change it to what you did with segmented and have each full run category with different categories (NWNM, Glitchless, Glitches).
Here is something to look at so it may be a bit easier to do: NG- NWNM Glitchless Glitches 100%
NG+- NWNM Glitchless Glitches
Speedrun- NWNM Glitchless Glitches
You already got Segmented filled out like that.
I really wish that that was a thing before I became mod as it would've definitely look nicer, I would have to be really careful as I can't merge categories together and some moderators of other games have tried doing stuff similar to that and in turn losing all the runs for other categories, so for me to do that I'll have to save every run and all that and resubmit everything, I'm gonna give it a test run with the glitchless categories since those only have like 3 runs combined and I'll have a backup of the youtube videos anyways, but yeah it would be nice, will just take some time to set everything up again while having the runs saved in case something goes wrong
Oh, I didn't know that it had risks really. I was just saying it would make it look more organized, but it is fine the way it is, it would just make it easier for a new player to figure out what was what, you don't have to though.
To 2nd post: True, though if there is a high risk, it would be better to keep it the way it is.
I got it, working on it right now, the only thing that'll be time consuming about it is moving all the runs, once I get all the runs where they should be I'll name the main categories back to NG Any% and NG+ and such, just so I don't get mixed up when moving runs

I know this one may be a bit sketchy, as I hardly believe anyone would actually run this category, but for speedrun%, maybe there could be a 100% for that where you have to play all the levels, sparks, and backers.
If someone runs/has a run prepared I'll add that in as a category, I doubt anyone would run it as well since we don't even have any speedrun runs up at the moment, so I'll wait and see to put that up
