Hi everyone, I'm happy that SMFS4 is finally on speedrun.com, but in my opinion the list of categories is a bit empty...

I recommend inserting a category called "22 bolts" then take 22 bolts and beat bowser as fast as possible.

I think this category would good because it is precisely between 20 and 24.

Maybe... It doesn't really seem like it would bring anything new to the table though. I was thinking about adding something like minimum coins and/or minimum jumps, and Individual Planet speedruns.

I don't want to be annoying, but I have another idea...

Yesteday I saw all "category extension" in Super Mario 64, and I found a type of speedrun called "45 stars", and it consist on taking 3 stars for each course, and all courses in total are 15.

So i recommend to add another category called: "21 bolts", and taking 7 bolts for each world (But I think that would be a super annoying category because the "underwater bolt" in L City is the WORST bolt in the entire game lol)...

Well - that also has the same problem as 22 bolts because you already take 7 from two of the worlds in the any% category, so really all it adds is the L city water area.

22 and 21 bolts are the only 2 category with a sense that I can think...

And yes... 23 bolts should be stupid and useless...

100 coins category where you need to get ofc 100 coins or something like that.

100 coins should be a category extension, because you haven't to beat bowser

We don't have a category extension page, nor could we get one with a community of this size, so I would need to put it as a miscellaneous category

I thought of a really dumb category. Count to 25%: Collect 1 bolt and 1 coin as fast as possible. Restart the project, and collect 2 bolts and 2 coins. Restart and collect 3 bolts and 2 coins. Repeat until you collect 24 bolts and 24 coins. After that, restart and collect 25 coins and 24 bolts, plus the final rainbow bolt. Note that you only need to defeat the boss on the last part. If you collect extra coins, you have to restart the specific number.
