There have been a lot of possible skips (like clipping with high fives) that have been patched out of the game, but world records still use them from when they were done before the patch was out. what happens with that?
It depend if your talking in group or not but there's new Strat found arealy you can refer to the discord for any more info but as far I'm consern they use BaS and engi clipping
i guess both for group and non group. but i didnt actually realize the discord linked was for remnant 2 speedrunning for some reason i thought it was the normal remnant 2 discord lmao
actually a good example would be the current nightmate new game+ run, it was before the high five clip was fixed and before level 10 archon ability was fized, i dont really see a way to beat that in current patch.
That's a good question we will probably end up finding other stuff that you can still burst down bosses and skip are being found
I'm not the right person to talk about it since I run ng no skip but I'm sure you can talk with more ppl about it in the discord and might have more useful info then I can provide ~ I think there's a Strat currently inconsistent with twisted arbalest and a gun mod I can't really recall what it is which does input quite alot of damage High five clip can be beaten with BAS and out of bound I think
Is there a guide to do so? because with nerfs to some guns and builds I imagine there could be significant time savings in earlier builds especially on the apoc runs where health bars get chonky.
type the following commands in steam console to download the respective patches:
Patch 1.0: download_depot 1282100 1282101 612890648849857331
pre-turret clip patch: download_depot 1282100 1282101 4838795374669283856
there is no indication for download progress. It might take up to a few hours. make sure you have around 70GB free for the download.
Profiles arent backwards compatible. So once you use a character on a later patch, it cant be brought back to an older one, unless you have a backup of the profile.sav file which wasnt updated to the newest patch.
because when i try to replace the files it basically just tells me that they are already open somewhere even when i have nothing else open so i can put everything in
have we reached a conclusion on how we treat patches? I believe runs should at least include their current patch in them, so that if we want to split boards for various patches we can do so
