I made a Chrome extension, Speedrun URL on Steam. If you're a speedrunning enthusiast and browse Steam often, this extension is designed to make it easier for you to access speedrun information.
What does the Speedrun URL on Steam extension do?
This extension automatically adds a link to the Speedrun.com page for the game you’re currently viewing on Steam. With this feature, you can quickly navigate to the speedrun game site
Key Features:
-
Automatic Linking: The extension detects the game you're viewing on Steam and provides a direct link to the game’s Speedrun.com page.
-
Enhanced Accessibility: Quickly access speedrun information without needing to search for it manually.
-
Seamless Experience: Integrates smoothly with Steam’s interface for a hassle-free user experience.
How to Use:
-
Install the extension from the Chrome Web Store.
-
Open any game page on Steam.
-
Look for the link to the Speedrun.com page that appears on the page, leading you to more information about the game.
@YUMmy_Bacon5 why open source? it's approved by Google, no information is stored anywhere.
I'm using V1, I haven't found any V2, I don't know if it exists
Approved by Google means nothing lmao, they don't know SRC's or Steam's internals. And open source helps people contribute to the project and improve it.
API v2 does exist. It's just not officially documented or released by SRC.
It can be seen by opening your network tab in dev tools when preforming actions on the site.
Here's community documentation: https://github.com/ManicJamie/speedruncom-apiv2-docs
And here's a Python wrapper: https://github.com/ManicJamie/speedruncompy
well, published :) https://github.com/metjum/Speedrun-URL-on-Steam-Extension also, thank you for V2 docs
just saying shouldnt this be on the speedrunning sections of the speedrun.com forums and not here (not that I'm trying to be rude or anything :D)
