Other Picross Games

It seems that there are a few more fans of the Picross Games out there, it would be cool if we could some more Picross Games from Nintendo to the speedrun.com DB. Especially the Picross Episodes from the eShop and the old Mario's Picross Games on the original Game Boy and the Super Famicom. This could be merged into an whole game series with Level runs and also Full-game runs (in this case a Stage or a section). I would add these games by myself but it don't know, if a game with only a Screenshot of a result would be approved.

The idea seems neat, but I'm too new to this to create such a thing. Also, pictures of both screens are required, because, a screenshot is too easy to manipulate.

Ok, if you would add me as a moderator I could also help you to verificate the runs (if there will be more than us). Also I have a question in case of the rules: Is a photo of the result screen requiered or would a photo of the time in the puzzle select screen also be a true proof? My last question is: Did you send, as you send a game request for this game, only a picture or a video as a proof?

I'll add you as a mod whenever I find out how, shouldn't be too long :P. A picture of the time in level select is okay in THIS game. Since there's nothing that can influence, what I mean by that is that, let's take Pokémon Picross for example, you can use Pokémon to help you. If you use freeze time you can score a solid 0:01 every time. So if you use the timer on level select, who says it's not with the help of Pokémon? But for Picross 3D it's okay.

I sent only a picture.

Ok, i seems as that you've already find the option to add me as an mod. OK, in the case of Pokémon Picross theres really the only option to provide a video of the run with a RTA timer as a proof. Sadly theres no option to display the used Pokémon for this run on the Screen.

Also an possible correction at the Level-runs on Picross 3D could be the act to rename the Levels into the Section-Level combination. For example Level 1-A or Level 2-C so there wouldn't be a language barrier with some other languages of the game execept english.

The thing is, the game has multiples Level 1-A depending on the difficulty set.

Yeah, that's right. That's the point. So, we could leave the level names in englisch. Or we could write the Level notation with the difficulty between brackets at the end of the english name.

I love this game to death and hope there'll be a 3DS sequel eventually.

The other Picross game for the DS I know and played was Picross DS.

For now, the level names are okay since this is an English website after all. But we can change it later if needed.

I hope too ROMaster2 :P I hope too :)

There is already a sequel for the 3DS, it's called Katachi Shin Hakken! Rittai Picross 2 (or short Picross 3D 2). It only saw a japanese release yet but. But I own it too and it's also a great game. The fact that the game is only in japanse is not a great problem. But you need a japanese 3DS or a homebrew to play it.

Well, I also only have two european 3DS systems. I use homebrew on one of them to get it to work. The only problem is that you can't pause or exit the game so easily and you also have to start the homebrew launcher before you can start the game, in my case I have to switch the cartridges (first the cartridge with the exploit and then the cartridge with the game).
