Just checking in for this new game. Who plans to run it?? I think it's perfect for speedrunning.

Quick question: How would we post individual level times instead of full game completion? Or for that matter, what categories do you expect to be popular for this?

I'm hoping to run it. Feel like there will be categories for each character seeing as they have different mechanics and would make for different run routes.

I'm thinking about running it. I'd like to get into another Sonic game other than SADX

I want to because I speedran the 2011 remake of Sonic CD so it made sense that I would speedrun this game

I'm personally going to wait for people to route the best paths for each level, then I'll see. Also, what about an "All chaos emeralds" category? Basically 100%.

I'm waiting for the pc version just to run it. I'm sure there will be individual level runs, maybe even special stage runs. Pretty sure 100% will be a category.

Yeah, I'll run I guess. I have 9th in the world on Green Hill Act 2 in the online leaderboards right now, so it'll be exciting to submit runs here.

I'm planning on running it. Any% and All Emeralds seem like reasonable categories.

I REALLY want to run this game, but unfortunately it MIGHT be a while before I can run it (especially since I need it on PC to do so...)

I guess to suggest main categories, we can say Any % Bad Ending, Any % Good Ending, 100 % (which practically means good ending), and for subcategories make it each character choice (including Sonic & Tails, maybe Sonic & Knuckles, maybe Tails & Knuckles, and maybe Knuckles & Knuckles...)

For ILs, we could do what we have right now as categories plus Sonic & Tails. And ILs could honestly be either both acts or just one act (honestly I would prefer in-game time for ILs, meaning just doing one act at a time) (we could also use the time trials mode for the game).

I'm glad someone got a leaderboard up immediately for this game, it took a while for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe to get put on speedrun.com, which annoyed me a lot...

this should be quite a fun game to run. looking forward to it. i wonder if there will be a good enough run by the time submissions happen though....depending how long just any% bad ending will take.

I plan on giving it a go, has anyone considered glitchless? I think the level design is awesome and I wouldn't want to skip some of them.

Well there are glitches and then there are just skips, and most of the time you're just skipping, so having glitchless won't really make for much of a change in that formula. But Glitchless would still be something to keep in mind (I think we should wait until more glitches are found and I mean MORE glitches).
