As of Minecraft 1.12 the achievement system has been replaced with advancements. Since there are "all achievements" and "How did we get here" categories, would there be an "all advancements" category for 1.12+?
Is there a difference between achievements and advancements in terms of what's included in them? If not you could probably just run all achievements in 1.12 despite the fact that it's called "advancements"
I was just asking, of course they wouldn't be integrated if they were different (I don't open Minecraft much anymore but I still read the forums for ¤unknown¤ reasons so I didn't know better)
Honestly, they work pretty much the same. The only reason a new category is needed is because there's many, MANY more of them added in 1.12.
So, we need a whole new category called "All Advancements Set Seed (1.12+)." Personally, I also think we need "All Achievements Set Seed (1.7)" since it actually had one more achievement than 1.6 did.
What I REALLY wish, though, is that the categories had been setup like this:
- Any%
- Any% Glitchless
- All Achievements (1.0-1.6)
- All Achievements (1.8-1.11) And then had "Set Seed" and "Random Seed" setup as subcategories. (Similar to how Super Mario 64 has N64, VC, and EMU setup as subcategories of each instead of 3x as many categories.)
EDIT: "Advancements" actually do work a little different. A map maker can add more to a custom map.
Actually, correction on my part.
1.7 added 5 new achievements (yes, Adventuring Time was unobtainable). It was 1.8 that only added one more: Overpowered.
Just say All Obtainable Achievements, like All Obtainable Effects in How did we get there?
Now All advancement only include the ones that visible if done, right? (Anyway recipes/root is impossible)
