So I have noticed that alot of the wrs have no video proof to go with them, this makes it hard for new players such as myself to find out where to use boosts and also the runs could have been cheated
The WRs without video evidence are by trusted players who got a high score and never was seen doing something illegal. They got a huge amount of points and we saw them multiple times perform legit times close to WR. You can search on youtube for speedruns and for most maps there are speedruns wich come close to WR with little fails.
We know that there are players trying to cheat their runs but we check most players and spectate them to be sure. :)
Hmmm it just seems like any trusted player could cheat (Believe me ik coming from Dragon Escape speedrunning)
I see your points there but we really know each other and some are also moderators on the server so it is very very unlikely that they cheat. If you see a specific player and youre unsure if hes legit or not, PM me on the Hive Forums or post it here and I can check him/tell you why hes a trusted player.
Also, every player who tried to get a unlegit time here is permanently banned from this Leaderboard, these are also some top players in DeathRun so if there is a player who want a WR, it would be stupid to risk it.
Just to add when I got my first world record submission back with Expelliarmus, a speedruns moderator had to watch me and make sure I’m legit. Also many players have unlegit times but would submit their real time to speedruns rather than a fake glitched Run. And the ones that are highly trusted can pretty much just send a screenshot and get their world record accepted.
