I found a thing at the beginning where you use left to open the door, instead of waiting for it to open, you can just load save and have the door open directly in front of you. Is this something I can do and just retime my time in the game?
What it does:
- Autostart
- Load remove What missing is:
- End split (I work on it)
- Do we need anything else? Notice, may be it crashes the game don't be surprised maybe it was just a fluke but it happened ones for me, maybe it never occurs ever again. help me if it works for you and if it does I'll made it available through Livesplit. I've made a fast run of it: -, later I try to make a final split.
Oh shoot there are different versions then. I work on it, thanks for the feedback.
Thank you!
Timer doesn't pause on menu I don't see why that would be fair that is depend on you, you are in control in menu that is not loading. Checkpoint at this moment not necessary, later I can see after every chapter.
edit: like tapes for 100% splits I get it now I try to figure out something. edit: I've updated the first link, try that one out, no credit split and no splits but it should work now, if it doesn't pls contact me and we figure out something.
"Most top runners skip "New Game" cutscene" "if you watch the whole "New Game" cutscene," The timer starts as the first cutscene starts, so as the timer starts you Alt+F4 out and restart the game to reload the save file. This is what I did on the previous video, just turned out OBS doesn't pick the game image fast enough so you can't see that, and forgot to let it record the mouse movement.
"this load save skip doesn't save any time, and autosplitter is not useful anymore." It saves a little bit, but the hole game is a fluent 10 minutes you really can't save much anyway. But I get it, you guys want it to stop on menu.
I've made two runs and modified everything so everything can be seen just look how it works at the moment I try to make it stop on menu.
No dude the timer would have to reset when you click the load autosave. And pause whenever you pause the game and are loading into a new save. The world record isn't even 10 minutes
Hey everyone,
I hadn't had a chance to check out the forum to see if anyone was working on an autosplitter already. I've also been going at it for the last few days.
I've got most items implemented as well as all tapes. There are some event flags I couldn't find and I think the end split might be a bit early which I'm looking into.
Anyways, here is the current version that I'm still working on: https://github.com/TitomakaniJr/AutoSplits/blob/main/Poppy%20Playtime/PoppyPlaytime.asl
This is the first one I'm making so it's taking a while finding the proper pointers and what not, but in general it's coming along.
I'm hoping to be finished in the next couple days.
ItsHolo: Honestly, I hate pressing a key manually to split. I literally always forget and my times get totally junked up lol. So just in that sense I would rather have an autosplitter. The other reason I'm working on this is because I wanted to learn how to make autosplitters in case any other small game I run doesn't have them yet. Since this is a pretty small scoped game it was kind of perfect for my purposes.
Aiivan: Sorry about that, I should have mentioned it's still a WIP and not really ready to be used. I think I need to run about a million more pointer scans to make sure the addresses are correct. I'll make another post when it's in a better spot and ready to be tested.
Sometimes when I press Tab or Escape on my keyboard to do a load my timer doesn't stop. I'm using the PootsNDoots and even when I put it to game time it still doesn't stop. What should I do?
@gabgabju It's a bug with the autosplitter for New Patch. Downpatching the game to Old Patch should fix it.
If you didn't know, two days ago Twitch announced that Highlights will now have a 100 hour storage limit meaning that you can only have a total of 100 hours of highlights on your Twitch Channel.
The change doesn't come to effect until April 19th, but today we will be implementing som
