Hey guys, I was just wondering what criteria have to be met to start the long lava jumps in Freezeflame 2.

I seem to have trouble with it too. I think the idea is to long jump, spin into a vertical or slightly diagonal but mainly vertical lava wall, and the acceleration will boost you to the platform of the 2nd star.

If you’re just starting out, I wouldn’t recommend going for the lavaboost. There’s a simpler strat that only loses around 1-2 seconds

At a beginner level, lavaboost is not worth it. Go for safe strats, and decent movement, and then slowly start learning more and more strats.

You need to hit a vertical lava wall. The maneuvering afterwards is tricky.

I 100% share the opinion that going for that strat now would be foolish, but at least now you know why runners go where they do.
