Heads up post, self explanatory from the title, but I've thought about it a while now and been meaning to just remove this rule as it's not been necessary for the full game runs and was originally just meant for ILs due to their shortness and precision. I may remove the rule altogether though, if anyone has any thoughts feel free to share

Im not entirely sure what an in-game replay looks like though? You have the option to just see an attempt of a different player, if this looks the exact same as playing yourself then people might be able to use this? If not then i dont see any issues.

While that's true you have the option to see other people's replays, it's obvious on screen since you have to go through the leaderboard to load that replay rather than sitting on the start board screen into the replay. Windowed mode wouldn't have any affect on that

Also i submitted a run and now realised that because of this it is invalid. So i think i deleted it now and will submit a new valid run.

Hey Dragonxiv, I'm not sure exactly what you mean as this thread was for the removal of a rule rather than the placement of a rule. Your run you deleted is valid evidence-wise after taking a look at it in the audit log too.

I was wondering why the rule is different for single level runs in contrast to a full game run. Because in a full game run i think the windowed mode or any kind of taskbar is not required for pc runs.

Just looked at the IL rules and for whatever reason the deletion of that rule didn't register earlier this year, it's fixed now
