Wow, that's a huge timing difference. Yes, the moderators need to make sure the runs are ending with the right category requirements.
Yeah looks like two would be retimed: Yagelon 2:34:34 -> 2:21:50 (probably :49) owoisop 3:19:53 - > 3:19:55 imo, timer stops at :51 but the video continues for 4 seconds until the pop-up appears
I checked the others, they look accurate.
But maybe the timing should be more consistent? When the pop-up appears? When the "I won" sound effect plays for your team on the final battle? The first frame that the frontend loads? I know Armageddon is a bit different, but most the golden standard for speed games is ending the timer on the final actionable frame, ie. last frame you can have input to influence anything. I'm not sure how that translates to Armageddon, like whether you count the menus or not. Technically, last input would mean when control is taken from you on the final turn where the final enemy dies.
I originally set the timing in the rules as ending upon the appearance of the results screen, but I'm open to any changes. I'll update runs that are timed incorrectly accordingly, but please post about any other discrepancies that you find as I'm too busy at the moment to scour the videos myself.
My run is clocked in a few seconds faster than It should be (it should still easily be in 1st place). I wasn't sure if that was because it got re-timed without load screens or something but I did notice my seconds are what i thought I entered for my milliseconds as I used LiveSplit to help me keep pace. (retimed I would make mine 2:11:32)
Hi all,
Firstly, a quick thank you to all the new runners we've had submissions from in the last few months. It's great to see more people recognising W:A as a speedrunning game, and we hope y'all keep on working on your PBs!
As noted in the Game Rules, we reserve the right to update the rules
