These codes are amazing, but I have one troubleshooting question. For some reason, many of the new features are working exactly as intended for me (99 lives, dialogue replacement, special loads with neutral c-stick), but some of them aren't working properly (reloading in Sirena Hotel resets the whole level, loading a sublevel restarts the game, loading corona restarts the game). For reference, I'm playing off an SD card on NTSC-U
I'm pretty technologically stupid, so it's probably some very small thing I did incorrectly when downloading files, but I double checked all my steps and it's not obvious to me thus far what I botched.
Jumpy, I don't know where you get off thinking people's lives revolve around the know-how of a website dedicated specifically to the hobby of speedrunning, but if you could please take your attitude and put it on the shelf, it would be most appreciated. I made a mistake, I fixed it, and you posted to that fixed mistake, so I don't see how you have any more room to complain.
If you want to know why I personally don't know everything about these boards despite being active in the community, it's because I prefer to spend my time actually getting good at my speedgames. (dur hur xem what about your SMS time?)
And also I don't really care about Ikkatosh because there's no sense in chastising a random shitposter. He seems like another stupid troll, but the leaderboard looked bad, so I can't really discredit him for laughing at it.
Jumpy, can you kindly not be passive-aggressive about this? I'm trying to accommodate people who want this in the leaderboards, and I'm bound to make some mistakes because I don't know everything about organizing this stuff. If you were an active member of this community, maybe I'd take your criticism better, but you don't even run this game. You're solely pointing out mistakes in a callous manner in an effort to be a smartass. I'm going to fix it; stop being a dick.
I'll try to go into more depth on these when it's not 3:15am, but the basic idea of Skrunchless is that, for both the left railing and the right railing, the middle is completely nonexistent. In theory, the only reason there's a surface on the railing that can be glided on at all is to contain the laser that's going back and forth. Therefore, it's probably just wide enough to contain the laser. Weirdly enough, it's not just solid on the side containing the laser. There's a surface just as wide on the opposite side of the railing. That's about all we know as far as why it behaves the way it does, or at least close to it.
For infinite jumps, the tricky part is that the timing can be seemingly random. There are a lot of instances in this game where things aren't 100% consistent (different load patterns/times for certain planets, random input lag, etc) and sometimes you'll get hella input lag on infinite jumps and you have to time your [ ] input differently.
I don't know what exact information you need regarding these things, so feel free to let me know if I can fill you in any other way than I already have. :)
