Any chance we can delete the old 64 tile runs that don't have a category anymore? They still show up on the main "Levels" board if you're not looking at a specific game, even though they don't have a category anymore.
Sorry about spamming the forums but this is one more thing I just noticed. It looks like the second place vid for any% no contract is private, and unless it's just saying that for me bc of some glitch and everyone else CAN see it, then that means they don't have actual video evidence.
The WRs for no contract clearly use an end timing of when the checkmark is hit to confirm retirement, not "when the home menu loads after retiring." What's up with that? Either the runs need to have their time changed or be rejected, or the more likely thing is that the rules just aren't accurate to what they're supposed to me
If I was to run a category for getting to a Star Rating of 10, could it be added? I plan on running this game at some point bc I've also ran New Star Cricket, and I think it would be a good category to have some more actual gameplay.
It has been brought to my attention by the other mods of the Hypixel series on SRC that the 1st Place - Party category could be seen as stat boosting, and anyone who runs it could potentially be punished for it if it is noticed by Hypixel. And so, per their request I am removing all runs from the category and putting a note in the rules leading to this forum post to describe why it will no longer be a thing.
I am going to be trying to board sweep in this game, and by that I mean I'm going to be trying to get and keep every single one of the Full Game WRs (and maybe even ILs too but that would be a lot) and I just wanted to make that public knowledge. That is all.
This isn't really important, because I retime every run before it goes up on the leaderboards anyways. But I just wanted to say as an FYI that one millisecond is one thousandth of a second, so if a time ends in something like .35 it is 350 milliseconds, not 35, and a .7 is 700 milliseconds, not 7. Just something I thought I'd mention because it's a common mistake people make when they submit times (which you guys never get to see because I fix them).
When I looked at the 100% Co Op category I was really confused, because in the Co Op menu there's still all 55 recipes that you can choose, and you only do the first 10. Why would a category be called "100% Co Op" when its not even close to 100%?
Somebody submitted a run recently for the 25, 50, and 100 stars categories with a party, with a 25 star time of under 11 minutes and some other crazy times as well. I looked at it closely, and it turns out that they were combining the star totals of everyone in their entire party and adding them all up to reach each total amount of stars, meaning they actually got to 25 by their understanding in only one game.
This is not how it works if you do the run under "Party" instead of "Solo". It is still only one person's star count that matters, and that is the one person who's POV is being shown in the video. Having a party can certainly still help, because they can help you win in some cases and also help games end faster in some cases, but their star counts do not directly contribute to the end goal of the run.
This is the reason I gave for rejecting the run, basically saying what I just explained here. "There was a very big misunderstanding of the rules here. For all X amount of stars runs, even in runs where you're in a party, it is YOUR star count and only yours that matters. Your party's total combined amount of stars is not what the run is based off of. Having a party can still help because the other players can make games end quicker, and they can help you win, but their stars that they earn do not directly contribute to the run."
I'm sorry for the misunderstanding, and I hope this clears things up. If anyone ever has questions about the rules, feel free to ask on the forums here or in DMs, and I'd be happy to answer anything in order to avoid things like this happening.
If you exit one screen too early, then a 10 second penalty will be added on to your time. If you exit even earlier than one screen too early, but you're at least at a point where it is clear that you won the game, then a 30 second penalty will be added to your time. I don't expect to have to use this one unless someone doesn't read the exiting rules before doing a run. If you exit so early that it's possible that you haven't even won the game yet, your run will be rejected.
Can we just talk about wtf this was on hole one in this run?
Just an FYI to everyone here, I submitted a game request for Kinect Sports (the original) to be added to speedrun.com today! It usually takes them about a week or 2 to get to the request, but I can’t see any reason why they wouldn’t accept it when they eventually do, and I’ll try to get leaderboards set up ASAP when it happens
I am updating the rules about early exits (quitting out of the game early than you should in the rules), because I don't believe that you should be able to lose a run just because of an accidental early exit
The new rule: If you exit one screen too early (for example: Screen showing final scores in foot ball instead of the winner screen), then a 10 second penalty will be added on to your time. When the requirement for a run is only that you need to finish a game, the same logic applies but the game only needs to be clearly over (as far as actual gameplay goes) instead of clearly won.
There's now a variable based on whether you're in a party or solo. This variable also acts as a category split for all of the Full Game runs. The reason it's important is because if you have a big party, or especially an 8 person party, you can have people fail on purpose right away (like in bombardment), help you on purpose (like in Minecart Racing), etc.
From now on in runs you MUST type /p list at some point in the run to verify whether or not you are in a party, otherwise verifying if you're in one or not would be impossible in some cases. Thanks!
A new World Record in the 1st Place category was just submitted recently by Dylan8404, a time of 5:27.680 (in reality it was a few seconds less even, because he stopped the timer late, but I won't bother to fix the time in this case). That time is obviously a major jump from any time achieved previously, and it's because as shown here in his run, the game ended without all of the games being played, because everyone left besides 3 people.
Dylan obviously didn't do anything wrong, it's not like he cheated. But because of the unfairness of this, I'm going to have to reject the run and add a new rule saying that for the 1st Place and Finish categories, you have to completely play through all 8 games.
The reason this is an issue, and the reason I have to do this is probably obvious, but I'll give a short explanation anyways. If we allowed runs that ended early, it completely takes away the skill of actually being good at the game and makes it entirely reliant on nothing but how quickly the people in your game leave. There could also potentially be a problem in the future where people get a party in the game and have all but 3 leave as soon as it started, finishing with ridiculous times like 1 second, and of course we can't have that, as it goes completely against the point of the game.
The "Place In All Minigames" and "X Stars" categories will remain unchanged by this rule, because if a game were to end early in those categories, it wouldn't cause any real issues.
I had thought of the possibility that this could happen before, but I never made a rule about it because I just thought it would never happen. Kinda lazy on my part, and I'm sorry about that, but at least we've got it figured out moving forward, and that's probably the last new rule we will ever need to add to this game.
Posting this for clarification because there seems to have been some confusion.
For the Place in All Minigames Category, you can't just play the game one time, and place in each minigame during that one playthrough. The category requires that you place 1st, 2nd, or 3rd in EVERY POSSIBLE minigame. That means you will have to play the game over and over until every game shows up, and you're able to place at least third in each one. You basically start out with a list of every minigame, and can cross each one off as you place in it.
Hope this clears things up. Feel free to ask questions.

As you may know by now, Hypixel combined Party Games 1, 2, and 3 in to just party games, which changes everything for us.
As you may also know, the former moderator was not willing to change the leaderboard for months, so I eventually requested mod on the site forums, and finally got the leaderboards updated.
From now on, things will be kept up with as well as possible. Feel free to bring up any concerns with me on the forums here.
Changes: Removed all old categories as they are no longer valid. Made separate categories for winning and finishing, as sometimes losing mini games is better for you than trying to win them and this could make the finishing speed run time faster. Changed the old 100% to Place in All Minigames. Made miscellaneous categories for getting certain amounts of stars.
Could someone post a list of all the secret advancements so people can know how to do them for 100%? I'm interested in running 100% but can't bc I highly doubt I've done all the secrets at this point.
Web version. The part to skip ahead to is roughly at 7:00 in the video after I explain that I’m pausing. I found this by accident while practicing any% when I paused the game to respond to some Snapchat msgs. I have no clue why this happens, but it’s... something.
