Just to further clarify on "Orange Barrel Delay"...
When 1 Kong was still relatively new RTA-wise, what we call "Lobby Kick" was unknown. This meant that the only known way to get Out of Bounds (including going through B. Locker) in Helm Lobby was an Orange Clip. The discovery of this Kick eliminated the need to use oranges through Helm, thus Orange Barrel was moved from the beginning of the run to during the ISG section. See video below for the original "Lobby Kick" and the improvement that was made later.
What you're talking about is Key 3 RTA and that's not how it works. It's start timer on file select or activate ISG and timing ends when you grab the key.
A great category for beginners is No Levels Early as there is a beginner route. If you don't have the time for it, then run Any% with the old route (we generally refer to it as 5 Kong). Both of those are years better than what you're suggesting.
It's already been discussed time and time again - no. Glitchless is a boring run, a boring watch, and plainly not a good idea for this game. It doesn't matter if other games have "Glitchless" categories, this one doesn't. If you want to run it glitchless, go for it, but don't expect a leaderboard or anything out of it.
This is what you want:

I have the 2nd one which allows for n64/gamecube controllers, but have heard people say the N64 only adapter makes the controller feel more proper (I can't imagine this being true with how VC handles, personally, but up to you).
I thought you meant the 0:00 IGT run, I knew about NSC.
In the case of NSC, we'd just use that glitch for Any% instead of making a new category. I was more worried about 0:00 Save Corruption "run".
Anyhow, I'll add No OOB Misc Categories.
EDIT: I just added all the No OOB Misc Categories.
I didn't even know these forums existed, my bad.
I don't have a problem adding [Each Story] No OOB, but they would be Miscellaneous Categories. If you're fine with that, I'll do it tomorrow.
The reason we originally disallowed DLC was to make it so you didn't have to purchase stuff within the game to compete - assuming any of it was broken or allowed some major advantage over non DLC users. Also please remember it was only myself (and my brother) running this game for a year before anyone else came along, so of course our defined ruleset wasn't perfect, but it worked well for us.
"Another thing I found in the rules is that there would be "no new categories for any 'warp to end credits' type of glitch". Which makes no sense, because by essence, that would FORCE a new category." In that post you later address Pokemon Red/Blue, but if you take a look at their speedrun.com page, they don't have it listed as a category. There's no reason to add it.
