NTSC should also be 60hz, so the same amount of input lag. I've only ever heard that GBI has better scaling, so yeah.
I've been using the GBP in 60hz mode on the official PAL software and it seemed pretty much up to par with NDS, just more comfy due to being able to use the SP as a controller. Pokémon main series games seem to accept GBI and they are usually very picky about stuff like that, so it's probably fine, worst case ask a moderator or post on the forum of the game to be sure about it, if a GBA game doesn't have GBI added as a platform (like for example Pokémon Emerald which has GBA, DS, GBP and GBI https://www.speedrun.com/pkmnemerald )

that is the weirdest reason I have ever heard to have a category name not use common naming schemes. Also you realize you're being annoyed about this for a category that's unofficial and therefore has no single correct name?
the last time I had trouble with any sort of auto crouch code, pressing crouch once manually fixed it. As for getting stuck there, that's super rare and I don't even know how to recreate it at all.

1.) Imo you need at least the kind of proof accepted by the community to be able claim WR. Example being Pokémon who allow some emulator runs, but state that they still have no right claimed the official WR, just the "best known time".
2.) In my opinon video proof is worth the same, no matter if livestreamed or not. Heck speedrunning started off with VHS recordings at a time where livestreaming wasn't even possible at all (and video looked way worse than the VHS tapes). If they really are that sceptical and the game has a moderator with the skills required to do so, you can always send them your original recording as a file (so it doesn't get re-encoded again at all) and let them analyze the frickin' noise patterns in audio and video (even with placebo tier bitrate, the noise pattern will be these, caused by electric currents in traces on the PCB near the soundchip). But that should never be required and after all excluding people who can't stream for whatever reason (most commonly the lack of a stable and fast connection), is just a giant waste.
Not sure about models, but I've been using custom textures for like 2 years and nobody ever said a thing ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Not a ban on self-verification and not an answer to how you suggest runs should get verified if the current only moderator is the ONLY runner of a game.
@Drakodan: this will never happen, because it makes it impossible for people that are the only current runner of a game to have a leaderboard set up in case anyone else is interested in the game. Or do you suggest site admins have to verify runs in that case? Because that will slow down any changes and development on this site to a halt.

For me this currently is Portal Elevators and Portal Still Alive. I like to do a casual run of both mixing up strats as I go. I don't know if it's me not wanting to forget the strats or that Portal became my replacement for the daily bit of mindless grinding in that mmo I used to play. Definitely helps me wake up in the mornings!
I thought that it might have to do with the splits file being quite old (21 Jul 2015), but nonetheless tried opening it and it worked fine. Of course by now the category was renamed to the more common Inbounds name. Other than that the split names are: 00/01, 02/03, 04/05, 06/07, 08, 09, 10, 11/12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, es00, es01, es02. (of course you can also give them other names, I like to put the seamshot coordinates in the 06/07 name, so I can't forget them and also type out escape00 and such) You can set this up yourself easily by right clicking, selecting 'Close Splits' (in case you have anything open currently) and then chosing Edit Splits. On the left there are button to add more rows. When you're done check the Autosplitter settings, close the Editor via the Okay button and save your new splits file.

also 99% of the categories suggested here belong to the extension board which actually has a thread for category suggestions. Please stop flooding either forum with new threads about category ideas. Posting them anywhere other than the original category suggestion thread will do nothing at all.
