We are proud to once again be teaming up with the Holiday Inn of Johnson City, TN, and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation to put on five days of speedrunning content!
We learned a lot from last year, and we're going to continue with being Tennessee's best "mom and pop" speedrun marathon.

SRX Spring is mostly held in Easten Tennessee, US, and is for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Like Emeraldaly said above, SRX Fall is entirely online.

As long as they are ran on the speedrun approved emulators, then yes. We also fully support ROMhacks
Yes, all 100% online. As for how we do it (you stream to hitbox, we mirror the stream or whatever) has yet to be determined with Twitch having less of a delay than last year (we had runners stream to their hitbox, and then we just mirrored it last year).
Soru: We will all meet up via Discord, stream to whatever service we tell you/provide, and then the staff/re-streamers will take care of the rest! We use the Discord chat room to (normally) capture your voice before/after the game so we can make sure we get the time set up properly.
Spring events are held in person. This past spring, it was held in Johnson City, TN. We have not decided on a location for spring 2017, but it will probably be close to that location.
Fall events are held online, to help fund raise and help promote the SRX spring event as a whole.
the Speedrunning eXpo Fall online fundraiser marathon is back for 2016! This year, donations will be used to help fund SRX Spring 2017, which will be another in person marathon for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation
Marathon will be held at Twitch.tv/speedrunningexpo and will be September 16-18. DATES MAY EXTEND TO A DAY BEFORE/AFTER DEPENDING ON SUBMISSIONS¤

We'll post a google doc with everyone's submissions in a couple days or so. Don't ever feel like your time is bad, or your game is small. We're open to all speedrunners, and all games. We also plan on making this a 24 hour marathon, much like fall 2015. Any questions, feel free to post here and I'll do my best to answer as quickly as I can.
We will discuss volunteer work in our next meeting.
It would be best if you could bring your own console, for reasons like saves, controllers you like, etc etc.
However, I can tell you that we will have: PC w/ steam (please let us know before hand what you game is so we can make sure it's on the right computer....or bring your own), SNES, N64, Wii, WiiU, Playstation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox, Playstation 2
Yes, you would need a video. Doesn't have to be HD quality or anything (even cell phone footage would be fine), but we need to watch a run you have done before to review.
And yes, you can submit another if you have already submitted before.
