I guess it could make sense for Championship and Time Attack modes, since it actually shows your final time for each cup/track. But you don't get a perfectly accurate display of your final time for each race in Hero Mode, so real time seems to be the only option there.
The best game to start with is one you really enjoy and already have a fair share of experience with. Doom is a good example. I kind of want to get into speedrunning that game myself.
Start with a game you enjoy and that you think you're already really good at. This game may vary from player to player. For me, that game was Fast RMX on the Switch.
Hi, I'm MetalSmasher86, and I'm new to the speedrunning circuit. After some experience with FAST RMX on the Nintendo Switch, I felt like that would be a good game for me to start getting into it, so now here I am. I look forward to broadening my speedrunning horizons from here.
This is just a suggestion, but I think difficulty tabs should be added to the front page of the Individual Level Leaderboards. At the moment, only the Hypersonic records are readily visible, and the only way to see the Subsonic or Supersonic records is to click on each individual level and then click "Show All" to see the other difficulties. Adding difficulty tabs to the front page should make those records more accessible for players to complete in all categories.
