I found a pretty crazy one too, right by the laboratory: http://dai.ly/x6d1dbf
:P It also helps with dialogue, since you can select dialogue options with right click.
Hey! For normal text skipping, you press the period key, I also right click as a secondary text skip button, but you need to enable it from the game's prefs file. If you don't know where the prefs file is, if you go to your Users folder in your primary hard drive and then go into the administrator user folder it will be under AppData\Roaming\Terrible Toybox\Thimbleweed Park (You may need to show hidden files) Open the prefs file and add: rightClickSkipsDialog: 1
phew, plus, most cut scenes are skippable via the escape key. The only one that's not skippable is the opening cutscene :P
I just wanted to specify, time stops when you pick up the trigger or when you push it and blow up?
I didn't realize how much time could be lost in the elevator, but thinking about it, it makes sense. Thanks for coming up with that! It definitely puts things in perspective
well, third party software like Joy2Key would be a big no-no I imagine since that's usually frowned upon. I Imagine that there might be a way to remap keys via the Prefs file, but I'm not sure if that would even work or how to go about it.
I'll keep on button mashing, no complaints here :)
Hey! Thanks for getting this game up! It's been a lot of fun so far! :) I had a question about dialogue skipping. Is it okay to remap the dialogue skip key to the mouse scroller, or should I keep button mashing? Does it even matter? I'm new to speedrunning, so I don't want to do anything that's frowned upon, but the mouse scroll would cut off minutes from the run. Thanks!
Thanks! Man, I just got here and I can already feel the support :)
My name's Maerus, and I am very excited about the prospect of speedrunning. I'm thinking more casually, I love the idea of blasting through a game for fun! I've got Hagane and Seiken Densetsu 3 on my radar as a start, but I would love to branch to a bunch of different genres. Thanks, and I look forward to getting to know you all!
