It would be better off playing on an emulator if you're already using keyboard.
Make a server with your own leaderboards then, I just think there's enough categories as is and adding more would just be a waste of time
what ROM is it, PAL or NTSC? It doesnt end levels on PAL for some reason
Aries you have to understand that none of us are experienced in moderating, even so, this game hasn't been on SRC for one week yet either so were still getting the hang of moderating the game and the timing. If you think we can do better, instead of insulting us and calling us clowns, it'll be better if you gave us constructive criticism.
Thank you.
Personally, if IL runs were to be added, the timing should end when Mario enters the castle.
If you're streaming I suggest you local record so if it lags on stream you'd still have evidence.
that literally makes no sense... this is speedrun.com, you need an src account to submit a run and there min. age for it is different from discord
depends on how it was filmed, like if it was taven-cam, with handcam / input display, sound etc etc
depends on how the game runs tbh
Retroarch is not fine, i cant remember why but it is in rules
Until a way for it to be done RTA is found I don't see them being added to the leaderboards. It's a small chance that a way to get 16/1/0 star on Shindou is possible but never doubt speedrunners. As of right now it would be pointless to add it.
NES Classic runs at 60 fps (which is .5 slower), and Wii VC (which you'd have to buy a Wii which already has it bought since Wii Store closed down) is much more slower
You could find an original NES in the USA for much cheaper than the Classic as far as I know.
@ANAIM this isn't really a thread for speedrunning questions, either way, why are you using dolphin emulator to run on SMB1? Moderators have to verify a ton of runs in a day and it takes at the very least one day for your run to get verified.
@Yanoi 341 is virtually impossible as far as I know to be done on the NTSC version of the game without TAS-only fast acceleration which requires L+R press and is illegal since its not emulatable on a standart brick NES controller. You'd be using the PAL version which is 10 frames per second slower and I don't recommend using.
There is something called framerules in the game, the game checks every 21 frames to see if you've beaten the level, meaning you can only gain or lose time in increments of .35 seconds. Framerules also determine what patterns you get.
I suggest watching Bismouth's 2 videos and SummoningSalt's 2 SMB1 videos since they explain pretty much all you need to know.
