I told you, dude literally lives in virtual reality and all that counts to him is the leaderboard. Citing laws he has no clue about. If I beat his time, he is going to "let off".
Good.
I am still not fine with you going on a history wiping streak, but "its according to the rules", then I can't disagree, no matter how crazy this is ¯_(ツ)_/¯
They trusted a random account to send a link to cracked version of the game. I believe that just telling people to be careful, wouldn't change a thing.
I understand the rest of the message. If we work in trust, this trust shouldn't be broken.
The videos are not available, because they are of 10 year old submissions, that have been obsoleted through newer, faster runs. @YUMmy_Bacon5
One can find plenty of similar obsolete submissions by @ViperUK, that are also missing old VODs, because twitch stopped storing old vods, or they were just not interesting anymore after succession.
But these submissions are not being removed. The latest WR run by myself is still standing. All that this dude is trying to remove is my foundation history. And keeps on trying to twist reality.
If I wanted to steal someones data, why would I tell that person that I did it?
It was an awareness raising action, to show people that one unconspicuous link on the website can be used for malicious stuff.
Dude is off the rocker.
We've agreed to use the speedrun of CMR '98 to promote a community & store with classic games & consoles. We've worked on promoting the action. But he decided to double cross us & mess with the arrangements he decided to practice the game & stream at the same time as we did. Beating the best time, stealing attention from our cause. And now tries to push it as something "debateable" and me being "jealous" of his "achievements".
Salutations.
I have lived through narcissistic behaviour of @ViperUK years ago. After enduring enough & leaving the community, I hoped I won't have to be bothered by crooked actions of mentioned gentleman.
But luck has smiled to me again today and I have been summoned by a notification, that my historical runs for the game Colin Mcrae Rally (1998) have been wiped!
One of the runs, which is slower than my current best & only exists as a symbol of progress, that has been removed because of "missing VOD": https://www.speedrun.com/cmr1/runs/0znl3x7y
I have been denied all communications by said person & as he has been passionately calling me a cheat on social media, I don't expect the matter to be solvable without external input.
I am, just now, looking through D2 stages and new strategies and the "Best D2 rally stage" which also has strats like bonking off walls, made me chuckle. :P
SO CLEAN! :O
I've enjoyed watching the whole thing <3
You've optimised the poop out of this game :P Improving against yourself by a second per split, at this precision level... Crazy stuff.
Hello @LeaseDealHunter glad to have such an enthusiastic person in our ranks.
Have you tried your hand at some particular game recently?
For a fast start, I would happily invite you to compete in some smaller challenges,
there is also very fun Colin '98 Rally School category, but installation of the game requires a bit of patience.
See you on the leaderboards!
@josef733 Should I behave like "your kind" on stream, to fit in?
@josef733 Oh, this is why my historic runs are cleared of the boards with no good reason?
