This video by @RWhiteGoose explains that whole situation really well:
This was one of the posts that actually resulted in the replacement of the old, bad mods. No one really ever cared to lock this because it's an old thread, but I'll do that now.
@DoubleDubbel That's true, but as of right now I don't care enough really to do a run without it being on the leaderboard. Really I just made my comment to show support of the idea of new, shorter categories getting added.
It doesn't really matter, but I'd just submit again. They were both PBs at a time so it makes sense for them to be on your profile.
Calm down with these forum posts. The majority of things you’re posting here are very if not completely pointless, and when someone calls you on it you just bring up how much you’ve played MK7. If you want to make a guide just make a guide, there’s no need to tell anyone. And even if you are truly requesting for help, a much more formal proposition and not making another post to further flood people’s notifications more than you already are isn’t gonna find you much help.
@noobguy57 I too have a life and I too am a mod for a highly active game that only has one other active mod. And guess what? We rarely take more than a day to verify a run. This game, while surely having more submissions, has TWELVE mods. The fact that not a single one is able to verify a run for 17 days is ridiculous. If you don't have the time to be a mod, that's perfectly fine, but then that means you shouldn't be a mod. This is not meant to be an attack at the mods, but I'm just saying that he has the right to make a post for no verification for that long of a time.
@MKWilliam basically summed it up for me. It's good to have a basis of video proof when a leaderboard is new. I'd find it difficult to believe you have literally no way of recording a run.
@noobguy57 ??? So because they get occasional backlash for a decision, warranted or not, that warrants not verifying runs? Your point doesn't seem to make much sense to me. This would be a more understandable situation if there weren't 12 mods to the game.
He definitely wasn't being disrespectful. I think it's reasonable to make a post after 17 days of no verification from any of the 12 mods of the game.
Some runners use more than one character during a run, and making people only submit one run per category just so you can display which character you used is stupid imo.
I think top 10 is probably still fine. Also, if you were to switch to IGT, couldn't you still mandate that an RTA is submitted and determine if breaks occurred in the run by comparing the IGT and RTA to see if the non-play time was way larger than the average/ expected non-play time? Edit: I suppose that may open the possibility to someone just making up their RTA to make it something normal.
I changed the categories because the way they were named and setup before were terrible. Doubt anyone cares as this game doesn't seem to be even remotely active.
Direct quote from the rules: "Videos are required for top 10 runs."
