Suggested rules full diomes/runs:
-
Recording starts before deleting singleplayer progress from the menu.
-
Timer start at entering the first level, which does not necesarrily have to be "Off To A Good Start". Random level order should be allowed.
-
Hub map counts towards "Real Time" and has to be recorded to prevent splitting, but the final time is calculated with "In-Game Time" which is adding up all the IL times; for most accurate times and no dependence on the hub map shenanigans. IGT should prioritize the leaderboards.
-
After all levels have been cleared "Real Time" timer stops and runners have to show their level stats (to be able to calculate "In-Game Time". Recordings always should include the level stats after a run (either a full dome or the entire run).
These are just my suggestions; would love to hear your thoughts.
Best,
Fireman

Hey all, I started (re)routing this game, looking for glitches and such and would like to add individual levels. It seems this game is made for ILs.
Could we maybe get a leaderboard for ILs?
We've started a discord channel, feel free to join!
Hey all,
Since it is impossible to get A+ on Treetop Trouble, vould we update the A+ in the tabs to "Highest Grade" instead for individual levels (it says A+ now).
There's some very noticeable differences between the PC and Dreamcast version. For speedrunning the biggest differences are that tapping the boost button on Dreamcast does not reduce the speed at which speed decreases.
This results in skips being much more useful for the Dreamcast version. The skips work in the same manner as for the PC version, you have several seconds before the screens faded to black and places you on last on-track position, so you have to do the skips fast.
For the Dreamcast, being on the Golden paths is practically always better than being on the road, unlike on the PC version (because of the boost tap). So if you're running on Dreamcast, use Golden path routes.
I've only tried it on an emulator so far but the differences are definitely noticeable.
I think it'd be nice to also have Best Laps for each track, best times for track seperately (3, 5 and 7 laps), which follow the "custom race" mode.
