The Super Metroid romhacks page https://www.speedrun.com/supermetroidhacks has had the "Oops! The site's under a lot of pressure right now" message for a few days now.
This message is pretty common to see on the site from time to time, but it has persisted on the SM romhack page while other pages have been fine.
Can something be done about this? We have it set up so that each romhack gets a category, and any%/100%/etc. are subcategories. More romhacks are added as more people do runs for new releases. It's a conglomerate page similar to how some games have very large extension category pages. Is the number of categories on the page an issue?
yeah confirming that this is what we want to do
current plan is to add new hacks as categories if needed. they won't be on new game pages so the requests for them won't be going through SRC
if for whatever reason game requests are submitted we'd prefer that they not be put up
Oh, alright. Strange coincidence though that the only video found was the last run I did without the cutscene skips. I deleted my videos though, so I'm afraid I can't submit my current one. Thanks for clarifying!
Hey, so I noticed that my unlisted video of a 1:00:50 Hero Story on GC was added to this leaderboard. I'm assuming this was pulled from congratsio since I did not leave a record of that time anywhere else; however, I also have better times listed on congratsio (current "PB" of 50:49).
I can only assume these times were not considered because I made use of this emblem cutscene skip on GC:
I'm asking for clarification on this because MasterC's 39:24 is on this leaderboard, and it also uses this glitch.
As MasterC notes in the video description, I discovered the credits method of this glitch by accident. I did some attempts after accidentally activating it the first time, and got a "PB" of 57 with no knowledge of it at all until he pointed it out to me. I decided to continue using it since I reasoned it was only bridging the time gap between GC and PC, but I believe this glitch was banned when it was discovered on PC since having to set it up and obsolete the records on PC with a purely artificial timesave would've been dumb.
I agree that my 50:49 should not count, but I think that rule should apply to everyone as well.
I also went and deleted all my SA2B runs for personal reasons, so you guys should probably just remove my time.
