So the new update just went out and with it the Present Elf unit. The Present Elf is capable of summoning any unit in the game, making it very powerfull and ecspecially for a cost of only 500. The problem is that the Present Elf is 100% luck and could easily break some runs if lucky. Is it going to be banned?

Yes, it will be disallowed, the speedrun is already critically RNG so more wouldn't be beneficial.

On this subject I wanted to 'announce' that custom units will also be banned, if there's high demand for a separate category for them then I'd be happy to add them back.

Time to update the rules then I guess.

How would runners of this game feel about first-person mode being officially unbanned? I've never understood the decision to initially be rid of it.

There are about 4 rejected runs because of the rule that I'd also like to retroactively verify.

It would make runs much easier I guess, because then you can cheese levels with your HUGE BRAINS PLAYS. Personally I think it would add a lot more to the game, but would also make runs much harder because they would require actual skill lol

I think it could be it’s own category. It is a very different type of run and almost a different game when you include first person. I think it’s. A bigger difference than including secret units.

To anyone following the game currently (and because I can't really announce it):

First person mode is now permitted in all categories, it has been for a couple of weeks I just updated the rules and didn't really tell people (sorry)
