Any thoughts on rulesets for other categories?
All Quests and Puppets, and final boss?
I figure 100% should also be added but I don't know if anyone would run it given the implication that you would likely have to get all monster types as well and that is based on RNG, which might make the run intolerably long. idk personally I like the idea of an all-puppets and quests run but I'm new to speedrunning so,Ii am not sure how to go about requesting new categories.
I think 100% DS would be entirely viable, if an extremely long run. There's no collecting monsters.
So i mentioned this in the NIS speedrunning discord I got one of the strategy guides shipped to me and there are monster catch rates which as far as i can tell has not been documented on any site that ive been able to find also everything ive see. Has said theres about 30 unique catchable monsters there are apparently between 47 and 57 catchable monsters, with alot of them being 1% catch chance, so with there not being a good way to keep track of what monsters have been caught and what ones havent and the fact you can only hold about 30 characters before having to start to sell them off.
Given the difficulty with keeping track of/verifying catching all 57 ish monsters id like to propose rules for 100%, but before i route and run them id like to make sure the rules are agreed on by the mods.
100%:
Proposed rules for ps/pc/switch versions
Start time and end time stay the same as any% for their respective sub categories.
Must collect at least 1 of every accessory (mainly to get the unique accessories you cant buy and only one exists in each game)
Must collect all 15 illustrations
Must collect the three singing chests
Must collect all 15 puppets
Must complete all 9 puppet quests
Time ends as you enter the last scene
Note: i dont know enough about the ds version to propose rules or foute for 100% on that version.
