Hello, I wanted to say that Resident Evil 5 is my favorite game of all time and I have now considered doing speedrunning, just casually but not intensive so I don't get sick of my favorite game thanks to the 400+ hours I've put into this game, at the time of this post, but I'm coming here to ask questions.
Is there any tips, tricks, or glitches that are utilized in RE 5 speedruns? I want to learn them before I do any real attempts.
I play the PS4 version on my PS5 that may help.
The game is eaay to learn, the tricks are not as heavy as you may think. Only Lost in Nightmares and Desperate Escape has relevant glitches (unless you are playing base game professional and do container warp) here is a lil intro video
I'm accually about to do a rocketless with my friend next week. It's pretty straightforward from what I've seen. You can look for a strat for Jill and there is a lock glitch with the machine gun early on but that's all that comes to mind.
I would advise looking at the current console WR, or runs around that time, and follow the strats used in those runs.
