Just wondering if there will be any categories in which emulation will be allowed? I don't have a switch but I'd love to be able to participate in speedrunning this game some how.
Assuming the game works well on Yuzu, which I suppose it should given its a 2D Mario title.
We haven't decided on rulesets yet - that will come after the game launch. However, emulators will likely be banned, at least to begin with.
If you look on ebay there are hundreds of day 1 switches being sold for half the price, if you really want to compete just buy one. Not worth the risk of getting banned from the leaderboard
