So I was messing around in Cube Momentum trying to get a quicker run, and found a glitch I haven't seen talked about online before. If you place a cube on the stairs, then stand on the button, the cube will get launched upward, and towards a direction at a differing amount of speed. It's almost random the height, momentum, and direction it faces but I found it seems to depend on what direction and what step the cube is on, along with where on the exact step it is. Lower down on the step seems to launch lower, and vice versa with higher up. Here's a clip of me messing around with it:
If this turns out to actually be a skip for speedrunning, could we call it Pizza Skip? (Because the cube gets launched up like a chef tosses pizza dough)
Yeah, it's probably just a neat party trick glitch for now, but if optimized further to make it less random, it could maybe save a second in a least portals run.
SAR version 1.14.2 just dropped, which improves the speedrun timer HUD (sar_sr_hud), ghost sync countdowns, and more. You can find the full release notes on the SAR github, and as always you have 1 week to update.
We're also clarifying the ruling of sar_hud_precision for Least Portals. In all other
